Does it save Swann money?
WHY does anyone think anything will change?
Just revisiting this thread to give those that told me I was wrong a chance to apologise, given what we have learned about the players recently.
Makes you wonder who chose the time and day?
Given they could have had any day, any time?…. all you had to do alcy was add, any place, anywhere and we could all have drunk a Martini on Saturday.
Lol.
I often refer to North Lincs council as the Martini council as they seem to allow any industry to build anything anywhere do long as it brings jobs.
Oh…except Ernest Pawn, that is.And hope he jumps soon.
Makes you wonder who chose the time and day?
Given they could have had any day, any time?Really?
You actually believe what the club tell you these days?1 user thanked author for this post.
Some of you need a short sharp dose of realism.
The fact you view yourselves as ‘customers’ is all that’s wrong with the society nowadays. No loyalty just a case of “entertain me or else”.
Your attitudes stink and I’d rather sit/stand on the terraces on my own than with some of you ‘customers’.
Oh good grief, this shite again?
“Customer: one who pays for an item, a service OR TO BE ENTERTAINED”.
That’s us, despite what your lies say.
Do you think we pay just because we love the club?
If that were the case, why go at all? Just send the club £20 every fortnight.
Get a grip, man.4 users thanked author for this post.
Good points by alcy but as you say DM the media led bit doesn’t ring true for me. It wasn’t the media causing over 127,000 covid deaths but a reluctance by the blonde fat scarecrow to get his arse in gear sooner and actually listen to scietific advice which he has done in later months. All the media did was report it. The truth hurts sometimes.
127,000 deaths? Aye ok
127,000 Covid deaths? Nope.
And no flu deaths this year? You are having a laugh.Agree with most of that Alcy, except the bit where you put your tin hat on… ‘media-led pandemic’.
You don’t watch a lot of news on TV then, or listen to it on the radio?
Because from where I’m sitting, the MSM is very much driving the response to the pandemic.
From repetition to fear mongering to twisted facts: they are doing it all.Several things come to mind.
First off, Swann isn’t going to re-engage with fans any time soon, because that would mean admitting he’s wrong…and the idiot still thinks he’s right.
Unfortunately his club, his rules. Only time will tell if he is wrong, but the signs aren’t good🙁Secondly mention of match day experience always makes me sigh.
We were having this conversation quite some time ago, and quite a few on here tried hard to highlight the negatives, from stanchions to catering, from toilets to bars, from stewarding to closure of certain areas, from car parking to leaving the ground.
Sadly that conversation was railroaded by a vociferous few who could not accept that the match day experience either could, or should, be better.
Those who then used pie-gate to try and sideline others’ views ought now to, if not apologise, at least admit they were wrong…and have played 100% into the chairman’s hands.Thirdly, the media-led Pandemic.
Rightly, or wrongly, people’s behaviour has changed. The rules have changed. Normal no longer exists, and situations, rules, even laws change in the blink of an eye.
Will supporters come back to sit 2m from the next guy, wearing a mask? I, for one, will not. Part of going to games was the interaction between supporters and even opposing supporters.
That’s not coming back any time soon.
And what of over-the-top stewarding? Can we really see it being any better with covid regulations to enforce too? Nope, not for me…and I strongly suspect I won’t be the only one.
Add in those still petrified, and crowd numbers are going to take a hit.And what does our erstwhile astute businessman do?
Alienates long time supporters live on the radio🙄🙄🙄You could not make this stuff up.
It’s like comedy, but scarey because it’s our club going down the wrong route…and nowt we can do.1 user thanked author for this post.
I think our league position is more perilous than a lot seem to believe.
And I worry that next season could be infinitely worse with the club run as it is.Meanwhile our neighbours haven’t lost a game for a while, but seemingly their inability to take all three points has them doomed.
While I do like bragging rights, I don’t like to see local clubs go out of the league.

‘I’ll leave it to those allowed to comment.’
Aww, shall we get the violins out?
Boo boo, I’m just a replica pistol and can’t help myself…
We have a front six?
I thought we had a back ten and a goalie2 users thanked author for this post.
I’m saying nowt.
If I mention told you do, Deerey starts crying.
If I say Swann should go, I either get asked who would replace him, get told no-one will, or get told I’m just a Swann hater. So I’ll leave it to those allowed to comment.
But my thanks above will leave no-one in doubt as to my feelings.2 users thanked author for this post.
I think the agents are a lot brighter than you think Alcy. Anybody who earns a living convincing clubs like ours to sign some of the players we have is a a lot sharper than the ones dishing out the contracts!!
And there, in one sentence, is the elephant in the room.
That assumes a level of understanding that maybe their agents don’t possess

Do the owners actually want us out of this league? I mean promoted?
It has been made clear that saving money is the number one aim, and League two is the cheapest league.
Assuming that non league is not where they want us?2 users thanked author for this post.
It’s not all about YOU though is it Alcy?
Anyway, back to the game. Where’s the senior pros today?
Being saved for Carlisle?
You made it about me by claiming I was looking for excuses not to have the vaccine.
“See the post below yours for a sensible version of a response”.
Sensible? Your post is not worthy of a sensible response.
Footballers move to clubs in a higher division and for higher wages. Happens to all clubs at all levels. Get over it!!
Ah…thanks for admitting your response wasn’t sensible.🙂
He’s a typical player we have on our books, bring on and improve then let go to bigger and better things, it’s just life in the lower leagues, you all should be aware by now so stop talking bollocks alcy.
Lol.
We either have ambition…or we haven’t.
If it’s the latter, what’s the point of Swann and Co?
You know, the guy the *** lickers all big up as being club saviour?
What’s he bringing to the club?
Know our place?
Because if that’s the extent of it, he needs to get gone.I don’t see eye to eye with awaywego on numerous matters, as he knows, but to label him a club stooge is frankly ridiculous.
Of COURSE it is, replica pistol.
😄😄😄So you want a 100% guarantee to take the vaccine do you Alcy?
I’ve made it 100% clear that I will NOT be having any vaccine which is so “safe” it has required both it’s makers and the government to be indemnified against side effects.
It’s either safe….or it’s not.And as for what it actually does….?
Doesn’t stop you getting it.
Doesn’t stop you passing it on.
Doesn’t negate the need to wear masks.
Doesn’t stop the need to social distance. So what DOES it do? Apart from make oodles of money for the shareholders?
“We can’t stand in the lad’s way. He’s going to a bigger club/higher league”.
Correct Alcy. Not a lot can be done of he’s out of contract.
See the post below yours for a sensible version of s response.
Then 🤐Libeling the chairman there Alcy?.
Facts are not libel club stooge
“They’ve already primed us by saying that the vaccine neither stops you getting it, not passing it on”.
That’s not true!
Yes it is, and the NHS website backs it up.
You reckon anyone will be allowed in next season, Mick?
They’ve already primed us by saying that the vaccine neither stops you getting it, not passing it on.
And our continental”friends” are entering lockdown 3 today….Watch for our media, who have run this whole debacle, to start pushing for stricter controls here again.
Why have you put friends in speech marks there Alcy?
For what it’s worth, yes I do think grounds will be open next season.
Both the French and Germans have recently shown themselves to be unfriendly, dishonest and childish.
1. We’ve been playing some of the most boring football ever known to supporters of this team.
2. We can’t go, and are forced to watch on dodgy feeds, often with dodgy commentary.
3. Some of the players have shown, shall we say, less than 100% commitment.
4. The club is hardly on super-friendly terms with it’s supporters.
5. Many of us don’t trust the chairman and/or have been abused by his family.Come on… what’s not to like?
Cue:
“We can’t stand in the lad’s way. He’s going to a bigger club/higher league/ someone who will offer more than 50p and a half sucked toffee”.You reckon anyone will be allowed in next season, Mick?
