    Strengthen?

    Waste of time and money.

Nothing, absolutely nothing, will change until Swann and his family do the honourable thing: leave, give back the ground and land, and swallow the debt HE caused.

I’m not holding my breath for that guy to do the honourable thing.

If we don’t have the new signings in place it will no doubt be the fault of Covid. Probably the Indian variant the he wasn’t expecting at the time of the last interview.

    Racist!

Don’t you know we must now refer to it as the April 02 variant?

Just shows the utter utter stupidity and ineptitude of those in charge.

We had a player that a club like celtic are interested in…and he did not feature for us at all.

    i walked into what?

interesting to see that we USED to be pride of Lincolnshire, before Swann.

and seriously, the guy who tells us its today that matters, not yesterday, is now bothered about ten years ago?
    who knew?

interesting also that many teams dho have come up from non league are now featuring in playoffs, all four in our division?

maybe we should look forward to non league?

A properly run club, run not by one man and his family, a club which has interacted with it’s supporters instead of alienating them, a club that has engendered support from the local community instead of falling out with everyone.

Now compare their league position with ours.

    Well done Swann.

oooooh, yes, let’s all believe Swann, and that fairies live behind my shed, and there wont be any more lockdowns….

    Actually…no.

I would no longer believe Swann if he told me today was Monday unless I checked first.

Too many so called “broken promises” to even start and list.

Now time to get a little excited about The Iron, though. Our team for the coming season should be pretty much in place by this time next week -well, shouldn’t it?

Oh ye of too much faith.

Cox must get his recruitment right

If only Cox was doing the recruitment!

judging by his lies about attacking football, his insistence on picking players who couldn’t be @rsed, on picking those who patently were not going to feature next season, on his odf tactics and seemingly zero idea as to how to change a game, … would his recruitment be owt to shout about?

And apparently you’re not allowed to eat them. Although I’m pretty sure I have done in Poland!

I’m pretty sure that when we opened the doors to the ex eastern Europeans, there were several instances of Pos being reported for killing swans.
    Also for stealing ornamental carp.

What were people expecting? If the poll is anything to go by 40% won’t be going back next year, I guess Swanny will have to accrue more debt for the club to cobble a team together.

And who will shoulder that debt if he does?

So he says he wanted to stay. The club says he was offered a new contract. The Twitter feed says he was released because of budget cuts.

Where’s the truth in all this?

    Truth?
    You want truth as well?

Still think 15 to go and offers turned down could perhaps equal 3 more.

Based on recruitment being near to 12 then another coach may be need to work with a specific group in prep for pre-season.

    I hear Wilcox is available?

    When does it open?
And when will it be connected to Scotter road? Or are they waiting on more government money?

So far I’ve seen reference bto both svroundabout and traffic lights at the Scotter road end.
    Hope it’s not the latter.

    Club?
    Yes.

    Country?
They did listen to the majority over Brexit. Labour tried to go against it.
    Look who’s in power.

Some years ago when North Lincs had a labour council, I emailed the then leader telling him he wasn’t listening and was risking defeat. He did not bother to respond.
    Lost the next election.

What would have been the point in sacking Sooty and Sweep, when Harry or Matthew Corbett was still running the show?

    Not so.

If you bother to check back, you’ll see I was often, not always, but often, a lone voice against Swann.

So I at least partially balanced out the sycophants…of which there were many.🙂

Regarding Liebour, in, or out of power matters not one jot.
If we can ONLY criticise the party in power, we’ve lost it.

Or maybe that’s why Liebour are in such a mess now?
TELLING us what to believe, what we want, rather than LISTENING and putting in place.

A rather British “disease” which led to many UK suppliers and manufacturers going down the pan.

    Ah?
So you go to footy and sit in silence?

    Not for me

Let’s expand this football analogy based upon your statement that, quote – “I loathe all parties and all politicians equally”.

Would you go to watch a match between two teams you loathed? I doubt it. And if you did would you cheer on either? Very unlikely.

Oh, and btw I’ve STOOD and watched plenty of games as a neutral without shouting my disapproval to either side.

Blyth Spartans v Chester was the last one. When did you last attend a game?

Would I go to a match between two teams I loathe?** Unlikely now, as a full time 24/7 carer, but I have done so.

When did I last attend a game?
    Relevance?

** There are few, if any, teams I loathe.
There are those I’d prefer to see lose.

Let’s see Alcy, you criticize Swann, not Lord Quibell, because EP is in charge and deserves it, even though others on here and elsewhere are critical too.

But, despite pensioner poverty, lamentable help for the disabled, and delays in treating the sick which you you and your wife have been directly affected by, you can’t criticize the Tories, apparently because others are critical too.

Instead, you allegedly ‘bring balance’ by criticizing a party which hasn’t seen power for 11 years!

That’s daft, isn’t it, old pal, you might as well blame Clement Atlee and Ernest Beverage for building up your expectations in the first place!

I put it to you that, despite the amount of sympathy and understanding which posters on here and the left in general show towards the predicament of people like yourself, your ‘omerta’ is because you are a biased, card-carrying Tory, quite unable to see beyond the blue fog which clouds your vision, objectivity and common sense.

Hence your sitting in silence where the party is concerned!

And that detracts from everything you’ve said about EP, Alcy.

But it’s not unusual – it’s a major problem in Britain today, that some folk are quite lacking in objectivity where politics is concerned, and commit electoral suicide by voting for a party which will cut, privatize or abolish all they need and rely on.

    Ah, the strawman argument.
If I criticise Liebour I must be, and I quote,”a biased card carrying Tory”.
    Nope.
Yet another who cannot understand what balance actually is.

To simplify: if I’m at a footy match as a neutral, and six people near me shout for team A, do I add balance by shouting for BOTH teams, or for team B?

But why would you NEED to do either?

Most people would keep their gobs shut and watch the game.

    Ah?

I leave that to those that support the left and hate the right.

If I were to add more anti-tory rhetoric the balance would be even further off.
Something your left wing mates could never grasp.

Not rocket science, yet the other lefties could never understand it.

The problem is that’s not you displaying balance though.

What is it then, oh wise one?

    Forget it Pat.
He seems unable to understand simple economics, let alone the idea of giving your customers a good time while parting them from their money, so as to encourage them to come back again.

    Bit like Swann, really😄😄😄😄

    Like you, you mean?

    I AM objective and impartial.
I loathe all parties and all politicians equally.

When I TRIED to add balance to the decidedly left-biased arguments on this site, the lefties all cried.
