Why would he come to a club run like ours is, with a reputation for negative dour football?
Would you?
Look at it like this:
He’s presently playing for a non league club who did well enough last season.
He can stay for more of the same, or move to a club playing negative football and who are favoutites for the drop next season.
No brainerHe’s dead.
Died in a nuclear attack on Luton aerodrome.Nearly as bad as Dougie and Dinsdale Piranha.
UK lager tends to be very disappointing.
Years ago I developed a taste for bottled 1664 in France.
Was 5.9%.When we got home my wife found some in Tesco, bought it me.
I treated myself to one that night.
Thin and acidic, turned out to be 4.6%.Burny he is the first part of the jigsaw
I just hope we aren’t relying on Hallam for the midfield creative spark when there’s a big chance he’ll be injured for most of it.
If we sign a more creative midfielder, fair enough. Reduced budget though and we already have Hallam, spence, Beestin and Kenyon soon.
Will we even go out for another CM player ?
A cheap loan for the season at a push but I can’t see another permanent one coming in.
Sorry council man. From the gob on you I thought you must work for our useless lot.
You obviously eork for ANOTHER useless bunch😅😄🙂An Ascot boiler?
I wish someone would promote fizzy pop in the UK.
I was under the impression that the sugar tax meant we’d have the choice whether to pay more for drinks containing sugar.
Instead, the supermarkets have made the decision for us: you try and buy pop without aspartame, sucralose etc. Both of which have been seriously linked to cancer.
He’s a loyalist? Great, get him in. That should please a number of posters on here.
Sigh.
Can’t resist, can you council man?
Meanwhile, your lot have ONCE AGAIN allowed the travellers onto Donny Road field, and ONCE AGAIN, failed to get them moved in a week so far.Instead of posting on here, go do some work.
It’s not

Lol at chief racist Northumbiron crying because a few have started questioning his far left liberal bullsh1t, snd havent yet been “sent packing” by the forum bullies.
We’ve seen through you, suck it up.
Oh, and Ive owned “what’s going on” and a live version since release.
All together now, to the tune of “for he’s a jolly good fellow”:
“And now they’re gonna believe me,
and now they’re gonna believe me,
and now they’re gonna belieeeeeeve me….”I’m a Cognac, Armagnac and especially Calvados man.
Some of the medium priced French supermarket Cognacs and Calvados are outstanding.
Come on alcy, the Prawn = the truth!!! Really.
yeah but, no but…
maybe, just maybe, strange truth I know, but once worked for a guy whose truths were like that….twisted.
it wont be any better with wonder bowels will it alcoholic. have you drunk too much whisky
Nope.
Hate whisky.Looking around on the internet I can see numerous clubs are going about their business, building a squad for the coming season. It appears however, that Swann’s over ambitious promise of having the squad in place for the coming season by the end of May is to be chalked up to his long list of empty promises.
Has anybody stopped to think that maybe the guy WAS telling the truth, and we have got what we are having for the season?
Like we almost did this year with Swann’s?
No one will be making them do anything they don’t want to. The public booing of a simple anti-racism gesture is a shameful, hurtful act. Doing so to young men who are regularly racially abused is doubly shameful. Pretending this has something to do with “keeping politics out”, or that creeping “Marxism” is a threat to your way of life in a Britain with a majority Conservative government is cowardly and disingenuous.
Bullcrap.
I’d stick to the day job if i were you…oh…wait…not a proper job is it?😄😄😄
Even the lefty BBC refer to it as a political organisation.
And as for raising a fist in a black power salute? despicable.

Maybe everybody’s waiting for the transfer window to open on the 9th of June.
Nah.
Swanny promised and he doesn’t break promises.
He’s signed anyone worth having and just not announced it yet.No.
What I read was a horror story titled “Spinalonga”.Aye…but woild you care to bet that their chairman’s 23/4 year old son isn’t in charge of recruitment?
Got mine over the weekend. Figured I will probably end up at the best part of 23 shite games anyway so might as well do it as cheaply as possible.
Absolutely.
Short change the club, then claim to be a core supporter.
You couldn’t make it up.
😄😄😄😄We shall be going to Knossos palace and spinalonga hopefully, would like to go one of of the villages where the Nazi massacre s took place but they look a bit remote, I will also be a beach bum. Have you done with foreign holidays now Mick?
Spinalonga?
Ex-leper colony?Once read an excellent short horror story about Spinalonga.
Apparently the transfer window doesn’t open till 9th of June.
Ah!
So another broken promise?
When DOES a broken promise become a lie?
I’m guessing the mods are away on holiday.
There are mods?
Errrr, yes.
Errrr,yes.
May 30, 2021 at 10:03 am in reply to: Thinking About Money For Transfers – An Attempt To Be A Little Optimistic. #207811First off, why would decent players want to sign for a club which escaped relegation by the skin of their teeth, while changing nothing, choosing the same no hope players, and playing boring football?
Even given that they were big earners teleased to cut wages, why would they both take a pay cut snd sign for a no hope club?Secondly, what on earth makes you believe we will not have the exact same injury problem we have had seemingly for years?
Seems you are carrying a bit of optimism a bit too far Les.
Years ago mate
He doesn’t need anything putting into his body. He just needs the hatred sucking out!
Any volunteers?
Last sentence a late addition?
Here I was thinking you’d finally come out. -
