Cheers Jeff. Missed this in the noise. Appreciate the continued support.
Hilton invited us in via a third party. The third party initially billed it as a podcast/interview on the phone. I said I would think about it and spent the next 24 hours convincing the other lads to do it. As mentioned previously, we were all reluctant given the hammer we receive from a select few on social media on a daily basis. In the end, it transpired the third party got the wrong end of the stick and clarified that Hilton only wanted an off-the-record chat. On that basis, I politely declined. I have never had any communication with Hilton directly since he arrived at the club.

We always agreed not to interview players under contract. The main reason was that Humberside paid a substantial amount for access. I guess Hilton is taking a more relaxed view on it.

Received an email from the Alzheimer’s Society confirming they have received the kind donation toney made with his prediction league winnings. Thank you to everyone that took part last season and made this possible.

I will check up at some point today but we are definitely close to the £200 mark now. I have covered the VAT amount and cleared the invoice so it is all confirmed.

The aforementioned accounts are due at Companies House today

We are up to £155.
I have reserved Roberts home shirt and just waiting for an invoice from SUFC.8 users thanked author for this post.
I will cover the VAT costs.
There is currently £105 in the pot. I will send out an email today to all members to try drum up a bit more interest.
Will do a full count today.
Callum Roberts’ shirt is available if we would like to go for that, but would need to confirm with the club today as they have a lot of interest. Prices as below:
Home – £200 + vat
Away – £125 + vat
Third – £125 + vatThere was supposed to be three today but apparently one is ill and it may only be two. Cosmos Matwasa likely to be one of the three.
Had a busy week but promise to tally up over the weekend.
I dont think we are there just yet in terms of shirt sponsorships, but I’ll ask SUFC for a list of players available after the next batch of signings and we can put it to a vote. Hilton said there are three more in for medicals this Friday so hopefully we will have plenty of players to choose from!
BTW – all 2022/23 winnings have been paid. Toney informed me that he is donating his winnings to the Alzheimer’s Society. Well done that man!

I think once the novelty wears off we’d be lucky to get half of that over to Gainsborough on a match day.
I’m fully aware of the Twitter thread, but I have been told from a very good source (No, not Swann Max) that the National League are looking at ratifying it over the weekend ahead of the full AGM next week. I find it interesting that no official channels have announced that it has been approved.

They’ve agreed a deal with Gainsborough but I was told last night that it hasn’t been rubber stamped by the league yet. An interesting week ahead with the NL AGM looming next weekend.

It is surprising that this strip was not flagged when Wharton purchased the plot of land which is now the training ground.
I have opened the prediction league entry early so that anybody who wants to contribute via that method can do so and so that we have plenty of players to pick from.
You can use the same method to contribute towards player sponsorship. If you’d like to contribute via bank transfer please email me and I can arrange. If you can add a note on the donation page just to let me know if you’d like to enter the prediction league or how you would like your donation to be split that would be much appreciated!
I will add a full list of contributors, as well as current amount raised, on the pinned thread so we can keep track. As soon as we hit the total I will see which players are available with SUFC.

All winners have been notified and prizes will be sent on confirmation of their preferred payment method!
Thanks to all that got involved. We reduced the prediction league entry to £10 last season, but we could put it back up to £15 and split it 3 ways – £5 prize fund, £5 sponsorship, £5 hosting. Just an idea. I’m happy to contribute either way!

I believe the temporary lease & exclusivity period between Cool Silk and DH ends today, but I think it’ll be a quiet day at the office. It remains to be seen how effective the steps taken by DH are with regards to SUFC staying at GP. I do think there’s a good chance it is going to get very messy, very quickly.
With regards to proof of funds, Hilton showed this to Begbies. They must have confirmed to Swann he had the funds in place to be able to complete the full deal.

May 19, 2023 at 12:56 am in reply to: Is there evidence that Swann doesn’t actually want to sell the ground? #262649I will seek clarification later today but that would make sense.
May 19, 2023 at 12:27 am in reply to: Is there evidence that Swann doesn’t actually want to sell the ground? #262644With regards to the ACV, I was under the impression that the reason it was referenced in the statement was because it is alleged he should have notified the council before he transferred the assets to Cool Silk.
Did Swann have an obligation to notify the council if it was a transfer of a going concern between group companies?
This suggests not: https://www.holmes-hills.co.uk/news/2022/march/assets-of-community-value-beware-the-pitfalls/
If it was infact regarding the potential sale of the assets from Cool Silk to DH, I hope somebody can enlighten me as to the issue?
Simon Elliot on Facebook suggesting SUFC have acquired two plots: a 19 acre plot and 14 acre plot as shown below. Boards up at both plots.
