Topics: 59If Yeovil continue to accrue a point per game then they’ll finish on 46 points. They are currently in the first survival slot.
We need 13 points to match that – which wouldn’t be good enough because of our inferior GD.
So, we will probably need 14 points from 7 games.
4 wins, 2 draws, 1 defeat = 14 points.
Ain’t going to happen.

March 28, 2023 at 11:43 am #258055My suggestion would be if you’ve got a feeling ignore it or check your trousers to see if you’ve shit or pissed yourself…
Sophisticatedwaywithwordsago. I did ask if he’d followed through!

Schopenhauer I reckon
March 28, 2023 at 8:34 pm #258072The local York Commentators have said this is the worst 45 minutes they’ve seen their team play and if they were playing anyone half decent they’d be losing…. Says absolutely everything!!

March 28, 2023 at 8:35 pm #258073They’re perplexed aren’t they. York Could easily be 3 nil down. C’mon Iron, get converting!

March 28, 2023 at 8:36 pm #258074And they’re obsessed with taking the piss out of Ogles mullet. Fair enough!
March 28, 2023 at 8:40 pm #258075The York Crowd is turning on them and the Scunny fans sound in good voice.
Kicking towards our fans Second half… got to be more ruthless I totally agree.
March 28, 2023 at 9:13 pm #258077Nuttalls scored two tonight.
March 28, 2023 at 9:19 pm #258078Bennett gets worse every time i watch him play
March 28, 2023 at 9:26 pm #258079Bad enough hearing his misses. At least I’m not seeing them.
March 28, 2023 at 9:30 pm #258080His control is worse than his misses.
March 28, 2023 at 9:31 pm #258081We are getting further from survival by the minute!!
March 28, 2023 at 9:36 pm #258082Pathetic second half where we’ve offered absolutely nothing going forwards.
I think I’m finally accepting we will turning out on the playing fields of many national league north clubs next season.
Jimmy Dean was a crap appointment!!!!!!
*Poor tactician
*We’ve got no identity
*We offer little threat in front of goal
*Dominate minimal periods of games
*Jimmy’s a one trick pony – Amateur football is his levelPlay Danny Elliot as an out and out striker FFS!!!!
Absolutely shameful to have all the positivity and financial backing and be totally shit!!
Dean is Dreadful end of!!!
March 28, 2023 at 9:49 pm #258086I asked Lesgeo junior when was the last time we’d had a goalless draw – in the first three minutes of the game.
March 28, 2023 at 9:51 pm #258088BTW, I have now accepted the inevitable. I’m guessing I’m not alone.

March 28, 2023 at 9:58 pm #258090Another tactical masterclass from Jimmy Dean … clueless
March 28, 2023 at 9:58 pm #258091It’s been out of our hands for weeks if not months now.
Every win for Torquay/Gateshead/Dorking drives another nail into our coffin.
March 28, 2023 at 10:03 pm #258094Only one person to blame SWANN
March 28, 2023 at 10:09 pm #258096Unbelievable how naive some people have been regarding the new manager and what he could achieve in the timescale allowed after four consecutive seasons of failure due to underfunding. The club has been in terminal decline since Swann pulled the financial plug and we haven’t bottomed out yet. Get your heads in gear and stop talking crap about this situation FFS, everybody needs to be realistic about where we are heading, another new manager my arse.

March 28, 2023 at 10:14 pm #258099Brought in to take us to a division he has ( limited ) experience in. Looks like he’s a success to me.
March 28, 2023 at 10:19 pm #258102Iron awe people know the situation we’re in and didn’t expect to blitz our way to safety but Dean is tactically negative and utterly shite. Sorry, you might not like it but he’s effing dreadful.
Nelson we had a pattern of play and a certain style, got the ball down and played through team with 2 upfront. Nelson got us playing some really good stuff.
This now from Dean is absolute dogshit. Long ball punts to Bennett who’s not very good and yet Elliot who’s hardly had a sniff since coming on, scored 6 in 8 for Gateshead and yet can’t even get a chance upfront despite us needing to score and win games.
Sorry, he’s shite. I thought we’d turned a corner when we won the other week 4-1 but now appears it was a flash in the pan.
Comparing how Nelson did with how Dean is doing now is like comparing night and day.
Nelson had very little and did a lot and Dean has a lot more and is doing very little. That just about sums it up.

March 28, 2023 at 10:35 pm #258109Iron-awe – I don’t blame Dean for whats been or the rot in the club. Put that to one side and compare him to Nelson- we had identity, match tactics, passion, discipline, shape – all under the same rotten club. He will lose games – its where the club is at and the players available but you can see he hasn’t really got a clue what he’s doing. One dimensional at best – hopes things go well at the start otherwise no idea. Half time team talks? have you seen us come out and give it a real go lately? Maidstone? York? NC? Like for like subs, uninspiring. He’ll be here next season because Hilton wants to be right but he won’t last the season.
March 28, 2023 at 10:53 pm #258110What’s the Excuse tonight?
Come on, sure you have one ready.
March 28, 2023 at 10:55 pm #258111Dean not even fronting up to the radio.
March 29, 2023 at 12:17 am #258116Both shite sides; Once again we failed to take chances as we failed at Solihull.
No urgency, no leaders, no quality. Bilson’s time wasting just summed up what a calamitous shit show we are.
We will go down this year and deservedly so. We have been shite for 90% of the season and that includes most of the spell Nelson was in charge.
March 29, 2023 at 12:46 am #258117Pugh and Shrimpton both been dropped was a bit odd. Those two were starting to gel together and have a good understanding and he dumps them both for York and replaces the pair of them.
I honestly don’t get him at times.
Bit unfair on nelson he had very little to work with and devised a system, style of play and an ethos and we played really good stuff towards the end of his tenure. Nelson needed time to adapt but you could definitely see what he was putting together.
Dean’s come in and by in large it’s all gone to shitty hoofball for the most part.

March 29, 2023 at 2:09 am #258122Another painful listen to what appears another sub standard performance on a night both Dorking N Torquay win (the latter away) meaning its pretty much done n dusted.
I like many others just dont get JDs tactics but the buck stops with him and simply not good enough. NLN next season is a shocker and whose to say the decline will stop there… could well end up in NLN for a very long time.Well done to the fans again for another big and noisy turn out .. how many will remain loyal after being let down again.
Torquay this Saturday will be “interesting” to say the least …….. NO NO NO im not gonna say another must win game as we just dont win any of them… Jarvis to come back n score would be a kick in the gonads unless hes injured not sure.

We probably should have signed her then!!

March 29, 2023 at 12:27 pm #258160Forgot to mention some praise for Billson. Apart from a few dodgy kicks and being a bit slow at times from goal kicks and out of his hands I thought he had a cracking game. Good saves to get us a point and commanded his area better than most recent keepers.Probably our MOM?
