Looks like York will be in NLN next season barring a miracle. They are giving Chesterfield supporters their home end on 29th March, I remember Scunthorpe doing that for Cardiff in 1993 and being very upset about it and we were safe so York doing that now suggests they’ve given up to me.
Lost 6-1 away at Altrincham and apparently the owners have pledged to reimburse their travelling fans.

Apologies it is their West Stand where home season ticket holders are being moved to accommodate Chesterfield

It’s a difficult one because if a club is struggling and the ground’s going to be half empty, you would want to capitalise on a big away support, wouldn’t you? But it’s not a great look, especially when your team needs to be battling to survive.

York are definitely in the sticky stuff but I wouldn’t say they are doomed, Wealdstone have games in hand but there are 3 teams only 4 points above them.

I hope they do stay up, it’s a good away day for us but I’d rather it not be with both of us in this league next season.

Owners are minted so it shouldn’t be a financial decision. I know they sacked the manager and put McMahon in charge but is Cox still there?

Whether it’s a good away day is yet to be determined TJO the ground is good but it’s nearly 4 miles from the city in the middle of a retail park, needs a Saturday game to see whether it’s any good or not going on the train. Went in the car last year and was underwhelmed.

Yes, I was going more on the day out to York if we went on the train but if it’s that far out from the centre it probably is a car job.

Cox isn’t shown as part of their coaching staff anymore on their website, presumably departed with Ardley ?

I think there are shuttle buses out to their new ground which seems to be nearer to Scarborough than York!

They appointed a manager from the lower leagues, I think Worthing? How they react to Tuesday night’s gubbing will probably decide where they end up next season.

Still should be ok they do run a bus service from the train station we’ll have to give it a go and then see, the old kit kat was bang on for a day out.
York giving away that stand will upset some season ticket holders so it’s hard to call.

Adam Hinshelwood now in charge and Mr Cox is not listed on coaches.

Someone hinted that Neil Ardley was in contention should JD have gone. The worrying thing is Mr Cox could have returned !!

Could be pushing Torps for the summariser’s job? Will we be any ‘braver’ next time around?

Not quite sure where it’s gone wrong for them and was surprised to see in such a poor position. They spent some cash bringing in Cordner from Aldershot whom was their player of the season last year I believe ? And also Howe from Solihull.
They’ve also had fairly big crowds the last couple of years so we’re all set for a crack at the EFL. New owner is fairly active on social media which never seems to end well from a PR perspective.

The ground is awful too, functional for them but a crying shame to be so far way from one of the best city centres in the country
