Talk on there fans forum about resting key players on Tuesday as they see us as an easy 3 points.
Saving senior players for the following Tuesday against Chesterfield – and bringing on youngsters from the bench.
They expect us to sit back and defend – which we may well do – would be great to turn them over (and they do concede goals)
I think its a bit of a free hit for us as we are not expected to come away with anything. UTI.

I don’t think Dean’s sides just sit back and defend do they? Could be there for the taking if that’s their attitude. Just their fans though; their coaches are presumably expecting different?

Yes, a touch of complacency from their fans. Hope their players have the same mindset. Would love to turn the formbook upside down

Watch out for the Mullin dive and subsequent penalty.

Against Wrexham full teams, no chance.
I accept defeat, but want to see 1 or 2 goals from Jimmy’s boys.

Great to see a full set of NL fixtures on Tuesday evening.
Some big games for teams at the wrong end of the table.
A Scunny win would be phenomenal.
    Dorking v Torquay – interesting.

Not just Wrexham who will rotate some. We have Borehamwood on saturday so 3 games in 8 days against clubs at and near the top plus looking to get a play-off spot.

Mr Deans does have the element of surprise though and he knows you can’t score goals sat on your own goal line.

First time in years we have a strong bench for the level we are in so there is plenty of rotation possibilities there and within the squad as a whole. Think Jimmy will be giving it a good go against Wrexham because winning games is our only option to survive in this league now, so go for it Jimmy and if we get beat then keep going for it till the season is done.

Basically playing a league one team so it’s a cup tie in essence. Might aswell have a go because you don’t sit back and keep Wrexham out for 90mins.

Nearly 200 tickets sold too so far which is a good effort considering where we are and on a Tuesday night.

Cannot make it due to work but will be streaming it.

This game and the Notts County one are not going to define our season. As they showed at Glanford Park and against Wrexham are way above National League quality so it’s a free hit.

this one defo NOT a nil nil .. im seeing a few goals and hope the Iron come out on top.

My 3-1 prediction for the Daggers game was a few seconds from coming in ..

Cant see them resting players after loosing ground to Notts in the last game , Mullin up front is a hand full to police so gonna be very tough

Be great to come away with a point ..3 would be fantastic

Prediction 3-2 just not sure who too.

Same here, they need the points the same as us.Expect an aerial bombardment from long throw ins and corners.I would go with three central defenders, and play 5 3 2 for this game.No room for the smaller lightweight players,go big and play them at their own game.

Looks good to me .. why Whitehouse instead of Butterfield ??? i would start with the later and sub for Whouse at the right time ..(ie when we are 4 nil up with 20 mins to go joke)

Cam Wilson hard to leave out as well.

As its looking are we going to see much of Shields , Ferris as a starting player?

Did Brewster go back it was rumoured he had

    According to Dean:
    Brewster hasn’t gone back.
Taft is out the squad for the foreseeable future through choice
Shrimpton might not be playing but is still part of the plans.
Shields may not be in through choice.

    Don’t get the Shields thing.
BTW, “Sean Shields trained again today (after missing the early part of last week) and will be available for the squad on Tuesday.” Dean.

Without a couple of injuries cant see Taft getting much if any first team action anytime soon ..expect him to be gone soon.

2.45 AM KO here and decided to stay up .. im hoping BBC Radio Humberside will be ok same as it was last Saturday v DnR

    Wrexham win 1/6
    Draw 5/1
    SUFC win 12/1

    Wrexham 4-0 SUFC 9/1
Bookies think Wrexham to win 4-0 is more likely than an SUFC win.

    Wrexham 4-1 SUFC 12/1
same odds as a Scunny win.

    Just sayin, like.

I’ll go for the hat trick of 3-1’s at 17/2

Jimmy not quite relaxed when questioned yet. Sounded a little rattled when specific player questions asked. Needs to relax.

Agree about Taft and Shields – do seem to be outside the playing squad. Good to hear about Fin S. in future plans suspect manager protecting him a bit – had just been out injured and will not want to put long term at risk.

Got a bit of experience now to rotate. Tonight will be a good test for progress made.

This is a big opportunity for him and he knows it. Wish him all the best.

Hope he is someone who makes opponents deal with us instead of the previous wastes of space who lined up in defensive forms whether home or away and actually prefers at least 2 up front as opposed to 1 unsupported striker with no chance.

Listened to Dean on Humberside after the match on Saturday and while he isn’t the most eloquent I was impressed by his attitude. He knows what’s needed at this level and deserves to do well. A result tonight would be phenomenal.
