Preview from their end, hope the scouting has been this accurate:-

“On the pitch, United’s poor start to the season cost manager Keith Hill his job, with Brian Laws stepping in as interim manager. Club legend Laws earned two promotions in a stint of nearly ten years at the helm before taking the Sheffield Wednesday job in 2006. His temporary reign has been a long one, with 12 matches already under his belt, and after Scunthorpe’s most recent game, a 2-0 loss at Eastleigh, he felt he’d seen signs of improvement.”

I must have missed something but BPG is celebrating poor fella!!!!

I think we may as well just go for it tommorrow – it might suprise them?
Dont think we have enough in the team to play it defensively against a good side. Doubt we will keep them out for 90 minutes!
Was hoping to watch it on BT Sport until it got rescheduled – bit of a trek from the West country – so its Radio Humberside for me.
Hopefully be a good crowd to see an upset – Enjoy the game UTI.

We are 11/2 for the home win with Bet365. Stranger things have happened. A few quid going on.

My mate has been to the bookies today and got 6/1.

He stuck a bet on for a home win, but then again he is a Chester fan!

Wrexham fan in peace. Our away form hasn’t been great tbh. We should win given our spend etc but I’m nervous about any away game.
Teams that sit back against us 99% of the time do not get anything from the game. In the FA Cup Blyth had a right go and nearly beat us.
The teams that have troubled and beaten us all went for it, Chesterfield away being a prime example. But if you sit back with our set pieces and long throws, we eventually wear teams down.

Well pal, no one can ever suggest that Scunny sit back 99% of the game, we go the full hogg and its 100%
of games, even when playing against very poor teams like our own shower. As stated 1-3 if we have a bit of luck and a homer type ref. As for set pieces, Scunny do not play many games without at least one goal resulting from a set piece, so 1-3 may be a bit optamistic.

Been out on a walk and saw three goats, but no bunnies.

    So 3-0 Wrexham then!

If you’d seen three pigs would that mean roast pork and apple sauce sandwiches at half time or would Bolton just turn up instead of Wrexham 🤔

The big difference was they had pace and aggression and we don’t, ability wise we are OK but we play too much of the game like a training exercise, they were banging shots in and attacked in numbers, we pass the ball about at a slow pace for most of a game going nowhere, we rarely have a shot and don’t put the opposition under the cosh enough, too cautious until we are a goal behind and when we go 2 goals behind we give up, I have seen us play worse this season but certainly better, Wrexham looked a good side when they cut the theatrics out and the referee wasn’t the worst but generous to them a few times.

Good summing up mick, it was at times very entertaining and Wrexham are above this divisions standard on tonight’s showing, pace, power , great skill but above all great determination. Best side at GP so far this season for me and thoroughly deserved winners but if we got at teams more like we did for the short period either side of our goal we could be doing a lot better in this league. One of our major failings is lack of consistency game to game but as I’ve said before, hard work and closing down should be a minimum requirement every game but unfortunately we don’t do that. We could be mid table if we applied ourselves for 90 minutes every game but we dont, hence our position.

Northumbiron, the next time your Chester pal wants to place a bet, just tell him to give the OLD sCORPION a call, he would have only got 5/2 odds for my predicted 1-3, but at least it would have won him some cash, and he would not have been expecting a burning bush to appear down at GP.

The old scorpion is still number oneon score predictions, five years experience in the Prediction League with 4th place my worste finish.

Barton, I did tell him I’d be putting 0-3 down on the predictions.

However, his theory has always been team due a win vs team due a defeat – go with the former.

Plus being a Chester fan betting on Wrexham is a complete anathema!
