I would like to see a ‘World Cup’ competition next Spring/Summer between the various nationalities who live in Scunthorpe. I feel previously we have not tried hard enough to attract the non British in the town. On a lighter note why do Mascots have to be youngsters ?? Why not a Senior Mascot ?? Not sure about the holding of hands though. I can see, for example, Misterton Mick, stepping out to the centre circle. UTWI
I don’t think so
Don’t think it’s restricted to youngsters, shouldn’t cost as much either was always told the high cost was down to insuring children, fancy it yourself BT would make an ideal Xmas present.
for sure the club is seeking every sponsorship opportunity they can and every bit helps.. im sure there are some fully grown humans out there both middle aged and the more crusty variety who would enjoy being a mascot … similarly enjoying meeting players seems very popular. I note the goal posts and flood lights are not sponsored ?
Going back to an old post when i tongue in cheek JOKINGLY suggested sponsoring the bog seats i trust there are advertising boards in the WCs above the urinals and back of the trap doors ?? reserved for Grimsby based sponsors perhaps !!
You’d never keep 11 players on the pitch – they’d be constantly running off to deliver a takeaway or wash a car.
Don’t worry, Mick.
I was asked to play Santa but opted for a conscience get-out clause.
