If the weather is as bad at GP as it is in Sheffield – is there any chance of the match being on?
December 12, 2022 at 10:00 am #250435If the pitch covers are as good as the scoreboard – no!
December 12, 2022 at 10:11 am #250438Snow in Scunthorpe? Neer snerr in Hull. 😁
Bloody cold though.December 12, 2022 at 10:12 am #250439A few postponed matches throughout December might work in our favour.

December 12, 2022 at 10:13 am #250440Yes ,fewer lost points
December 12, 2022 at 12:03 pm #250454Is there snerr (sic) in Scunny?
It doesn’t really matter. Freezing temperatures likely all of Tuesday so little prospect.
Suits me.December 12, 2022 at 1:06 pm #250459If it goes ahead then I can see it being a record low attendance for a league game. Unless of course they count all the season ticket holder’s who don’t turn up to make it look better. I know a lot of season ticket holder’s saying they aren’t going tomorrow due to weather / shit football / World Cup semi etc and I must admit sitting out for two hours watching crap and boring football isn’t appealing to me at this moment in time.
December 12, 2022 at 1:26 pm #250462Yep quite agree It’s a no snow ( show ) from me tomorrow if it freezes like it’s meant too then hopefully it will be called off. Bad enough sitting there watching crap when it’s not freezing your nuts off so there’s no chance tomorrow whatsoever. ⛄
December 12, 2022 at 3:26 pm #250465Should be called off tonight to be fair to everyone.
December 12, 2022 at 4:09 pm #250466I have seen every league game at Glanford Park, though one season was on iFollow, but if its a day like today I have thought of registering for the streaming service and sit at home and watch it, if it had been tonight definitely, I have paid for my ticket so they have got my money, but the streaming pass is cheaper than my petrol and I wouldn’t get frozen, but you know with our club they will wait till Woking nearly get here before they will call it off, surely they have to take the covers off to work on the pitch and I can’t see the ground getting above freezing point, why do they do a full fixture list in December midweek, stupid.

A lunch time pitch inspection and decision would be optimal.December 12, 2022 at 6:19 pm #250471AnonymousInactiveOffline

The training pitch wasn’t covered and was fine, but the main pitch has covers on the whole of it, so we are expecting no issues with that.”

There was great concern over the expected temperatures on Tuesday evening, after consulting with various partners and taking into account the safety of players, staff and supporters travelling to and from Glanford Park.” – OWS.
I remember when the person calling games off was the Referee after he’d inspected the pitch.
What we don’t want, is to have a load of games backing up and be even more points behind our relegation rivals.
That adds to the pressure and further exposes a threadbare squad.December 13, 2022 at 11:18 am #250505AnonymousInactiveOffline

December 13, 2022 at 11:45 am #250509Only Aldershot and Dorking have survived thus far (and may still fall victim). I don’t think the pack above us will be forging ahead tonight!

If Maidstone were to win at Altrincham, we’d be 7 points adrift of fifth from bottom Yeovil – who have a game in hand.
Everything not to play for it would seem?
December 13, 2022 at 12:32 pm #250517Look on the bright side, we might have a few additions to the squad by the time the match is played

Mixing up your Maids, Sir O, can only lead to trouble in the long run.1 user thanked author for this post.

I very much doubt it unless the tax man is paid.
