The u18’s won again 4-1. Wilson who was playing upfront completely took the piss and scored 2 goals, both classy, calm finishes.

I really do hope to god he get’s a go. I’d stick him up there instead of Scrimshaw or on the right wing, providing we go with a 4/4/2. Seriously this lad properly needs a chance, it’s criminal how he hasn’t even really had a sniff.

Gallimore also did really well in CM.

Wilson looked head and shoulders the best player though by a country mile. Those snippets we all saw in pre season were no fluke, he reminds me a little bit of a more raw Lee Hodges.

How the hell he hasn’t had minutes is beyond me.

Rhetorical question WG – our ex-manager didn’t find him.

I would give him a chance as well, unlike Scrimshaw he is not a ‘willing runner’ ! He was playing 1st yr academy a season in front. He is tough, pacy, can take players on and got a hell of a shot.

He will score goals, Dan Gallimore needs chances from the bench to build the experience part. Understands what is needed and tough lad.

What’s the bet neither get the chance, are allowed to go elsewhere and star there?
There is something or someone seriously wrong at the club and this wastage epitomises it.

We were producing players but Mr Cox seemed very reluctant in aiding their development, strange seeing that was his route !!

Look at Jai Rowe. Arrives here as a right sided back/wingback. Doing well and was improving every game then Cox said he is s CB and that was it for him. Bench or worse. O’Malley – Cox signing in Mason out !!

Wilson also disappeared and for match fitness was back in the U18s !! Big clubs are looking for young talent. No sympathy brought it all on himself.

It’s a sign of our struggles that we are pinning our hopes on young, unproven players but it’s equally true that arguably our best performance of the season, against Tranmere, was achieved with players such as Gallimore, Rowe, Wilson & Pugh on the pitch. I don’t think that’s a coincidence.

Adkins regularly used to say the Ave age of his side was 21, and they did OK. Age shouldn’t be a consideration, if they are good enough, they are old enough.

Wilson is obviously unproven but at u18’s he sticks out as if he doesn’t even belong at that level. Only a matter of time before he’s spotted, if he hasn’t been already.

Couple that evidence with the fact he was the most promising player in pre season, it’s crystal clear that he should be getting game time.

u18’s showed he’s really good upfront running in behind, he has a bit of everything.

If we don’t watch it he’ll end up another Joey Dawson.
