8 games to go. My view…yes, with ease. Another pathetic stat Swann can be proud of as we surrender our 72 year league status.
Talk about embarrassing.

March 20, 2022 at 10:16 am #233935Nearer to -60 I would think and our keeper is far and away player of the season.

March 20, 2022 at 11:15 am #233939Of course he is ,he’s picked the ball out of the back of the net more than anyone else in our league he’s a class act at that.
March 20, 2022 at 11:24 am #233941We’d have been on minus 60 already without him.
March 20, 2022 at 11:36 am #233943never mind the goal difference, I can’t see us getting anywhere near 30 points
March 20, 2022 at 11:46 am #233944Well that’s a matter of conjecture Ironawe.
March 20, 2022 at 12:55 pm #233946We will be first club in the entire league with a P or R against it this season.
March 20, 2022 at 1:17 pm #233949Well that’s a matter of conjecture Ironawe.
True, wheras your point was simply stating the bleeding obvious, we new that already.
March 20, 2022 at 1:43 pm #2339518 games to go and on -42, I think we’ll exceed a -50 goal difference but not as bad as -60 (surely???). On 24 points now, we’re never gonna hit 30 the way we’re playing, might scrape the odd draw so prob finish with 26 or 27. I can’t see a win in us I’m afraid.
Crikey, it wasn’t that long ago we were talking about the chances of making 50 points or close thereto. What an awful season, can’t wait for it to finish.
Like others on here, unless we get a change of ownership and investment with it, I am really concerned about our future in the NL, I’ve the awful feeling we’re gonna struggle.

April 11, 2022 at 1:37 pm #235405I can’t help but notice that the amount of goals conceded seems to have increased since Manny left. I know he was clumsy, and always prone to a rash challenge, but he was the only one with nous and command in central defence. It doesn’t seem an inspiring decision to let him go.
April 11, 2022 at 7:31 pm #235436Manny was Daggers MOM in his first start and made the Vanarama team of the week on his second.
Both clean sheets as well.
Strange how players can shine away from the Sunken Sands.
April 11, 2022 at 7:47 pm #235438Shocking in so many respects, I said weeks ago we wouldn’t win another game, would get another point and probably wouldn’t score another goal, would be the first club in the league with an R against it and I’ve been right so far unfortunately.
Bizarrely things seem to have got even worse since Cox left.April 11, 2022 at 8:41 pm #235443Unfortunately Crewe beat us to it Vader, if you’d like like to correct your last post.

It was a bizarre decision. Things were futile then, but it was a clear signal of giving up. >-(

It doesn’t make it any easier to accept but I stand corrected.

April 12, 2022 at 1:04 am #23544650 hit with ease and no sign of a win or a goal being scored (not including penalties and own goals) i reckon at best maybe scrapping a sad 0-0 , finishing on -60 is a real possibility.
I read what Lee Turnbull had to say re new owners in his “breaking the silence” interview and as usual left me with little hope or confidence in any new people buying the club .. similar rhetoric to what weve been hearing from Swann over the years … is he just Swanns puppet rent boy ..of course he is .. Add Hill to that genre too.
I too fear for us in the NL .. been following it more since resigned to relegation weeks ago and its a lot harder then i previously thought .. we may fall out the other end of that if things dont change re investment both on and off the pitch.
sad times

Well it’s not is it? If you have been attending games and have a pair of working eyes you would see Ironawe is 100% correct.
Anyone that thinks our problem has been the goalkeeper this season knows absolutely nothing about football.

April 12, 2022 at 8:56 am #235452I know absolutely nothing about football, just the same as everyone else,we like to think we do but in reality we don’t,we just have opinions on it. Of course unless it’s actual facts which a lot of our posters refuse to grasp or accept.
April 12, 2022 at 9:20 am #235455You know a lot about goalkeepers Pat specialist subject is it, “Howard has been shocking” was one of your posts.Mmmm.

Howard playing very well at Carlisle ..mate tells me they are desperate to keep him yet he left us under what ever circumstances , thats leads us nicely onto the departure of Hippo and Manny who are also playing superb at Stockport n DnR …oh Loft at Bristol who isnt and still has a face like a slapped arse..
I think Watson will be on his toes come the end of the season, not fussed as a whole new squad will be playing in the NL , mostly youngsters im guessing ..
Back to keepers have to say i rated O Hara the emergency keeper very highly..
April 13, 2022 at 8:51 am #235514Yet more examples of players good before and after but barely adequate when with The Iron. Why??

I don’t remember a single post of mine alluding to knowing a lot about goalkeepers other than me saying our league position is not the fault of Rory Watson and our goal difference would be a whole lot worse had it not been for him this season.
If I were in the Managers seat there are a lot more positions I would be looking to improve in before the goalkeeper in this squad.

April 13, 2022 at 10:58 am #235523Yes, we will score again this season, in fact we will scrape a win against Stevenage, so with my Prediction record over the years, this will come true!!!
April 13, 2022 at 2:16 pm #235528Page 4 in your reply history pat under the post ‘Howards going’ . The goal difference being worse if not for Rory doesn’t ring true either, 3.5 games without Rory this season a .58 goal difference, with Rory’s 37.5 games 1.28
April 13, 2022 at 8:36 pm #235540Saying a goalkeeper is shocking isn’t exactly professing ‘goalkeepers’ to be your ‘specialist subject’. It’s an observation.
April 13, 2022 at 9:04 pm #235541Don’t you understand sarcasm Deerey? Lol.

4-0 tomorrow is only 16/1.May 7, 2022 at 6:11 pm #236898-61 in the end. 29 goals scored, 90 conceded….chairman, managers, players, chief scout, COO, CEO, rest of the Swann family, all hang your heads in shame. Beyond embarrassing. The supporters deserve so much better than every one of you.
