Good luck with that next year!

April 23, 2023 at 4:46 am #260741As previously commented by Awaywego reading on SM that DH was abused by fans whilst in his car with his family , one (via a trusted source) suggesting hes contemplating walking away already.. could this be the route he needed to do so if the money still owed for GP isnt on hand…this could get real messy even worse talk of Swan returning is a toe curling thought.

Topics: 18Identify and ban (1 season) the morons involved. Nasty faces, loud voices and angry words would have been terrifying for his kids (it’s seems they were there?).
I’m guessing these people can read and write? Then pick up a pen and send Mr Hilton a letter expressing your concerns regarding the teams performances rather than acting in this thuggish manner. It’s tribal, cowardly and possibly driven by drink?
The man has until 24th May to pay Mr Swann; they should respect that.
If it was you, would your take your kids / grandkids to watch SUFC again?
I know I wouldn’t.
These actions will undoubtedly make a bad situation worse. As I’ve said before and especially after yesterday – why would you want to leave a lovely family orientated community club that you own and is on your doorstep to take on this poisoned chalice?
I hope his kids & wife are ok and didn’t have nightmares last night.
Intolerable!

April 23, 2023 at 8:32 am #260747Or he could and should walk because of the toxicity at the club by the fans. And your part in all this Rene, MFI? Hope everyone remembers my first ever post “worse fans” go on NI remind me how bad Sunderland fans are and defend scunny fans to the hilt. The guy only took over in January ffs.
April 23, 2023 at 9:02 am #260751Any conformation Hilton and his family got abused, or is it all Social Media Talk?

Ha ha you mean like all the other bullshit that comes on here via social media, that’s quite brilliant.

He’ll have to change his number plate if he leaves.

April 23, 2023 at 9:52 am #260757If it’s true- and there’s a few suggesting it is- if I was Hilton aid cut my losses and go.
No-one should be beyond criticism but The line is crossed with personal abuse, then it’s then a whole different ball game if his family were there.
There’s information coming to light on here about questionable past business actions (nothing illegal). Nothing that really made my toe curls and certainly nothing that should prevent him investing in the club. If anyone’s got concrete evidence to counter this then post it below.
I’ve got my information this week which I know to be valid and suggests his intentions are in the interest of the club and there’s exciting, sensible developments ready to be implemented which will make the club sustainable and improve the experience for everyone.

April 23, 2023 at 10:38 am #260764The only positive Hilton could take from it and I mean take from it, he’s got all the season ticket money, maybe not as much money he’s put in but would soften the blow and give him the last laugh.

I’d lay a 4G/5G pitch.
That would be a long term money saver.April 23, 2023 at 12:04 pm #260775AnonymousInactiveOffline

How many STs have been sold so far?
What’s the guy supposed to have done in the past? Ran a red light?… hardly Reservoir Dogs.
1) Training – uturn, listened, bravo.
2) Academy – uturn, listened, bravo.
3) Manager – backing him, his prerogative.
[Manager – he’s not for me.]
4) Season Tickets – out of his hands.
5) Signings – tried, who recommended them?
6) Scouting – needs to improve if the signings are their recommendations.
7) Mission Statement – what’s the plan?
8) Over staffing / Redundancies – reduced revenue = inevitable. We ain’t the council, we can’t have three men taking it in turns to use the one shovel.
9) Inherited infrastructure / facilities – it’s not of his making.
10) May 24th – hopefully the sale will go through.
11) The Future – if the surrounding land is sold and reinvested in to the club then that could be the catalyst to our route back to the EFL.
12) Assets – turn the car parks in to cash to kickstart us.April 23, 2023 at 12:05 pm #260776Any conformation Hilton and his family got abused, or is it all Social Media Talk?

Not at all it’s just funny you should quote all social media talk yet accept other such info and seemingly accept it to arouse suspicions about the new owner. EG Interested Bystander or is it Innocentbogcleaner anyway you know what I’m getting at. Just find it funny.
April 23, 2023 at 12:10 pm #260780Anyway some more unsubstantiated news for ya all, yesterday several fans outside the ground were discussing that the club have already sold a thousand season tickets so far for next season and the two big guys have fallen out about the sale of the ground and land due to a pricing disagreement. Is it true?, pass, it’s it genuine?, pass but it’s all good fun init.
April 23, 2023 at 12:55 pm #260790Sold 7 times more season tickets than this time last year. Not long to wait to see if Swanny kicks him out. Brassy said the weekend.

Kick him out?
Thought the deadline was 24th May?
If he’s wanting the sale to go through, then…
?April 23, 2023 at 1:48 pm #260800Oh do keep up Rene.

So we don’t know if it was genuine or not like the rumours Hilton doesn’t have a pot to piss in.
April 23, 2023 at 2:54 pm #260808The majority of it is rumour that’s how a lot of this shite works, switch on mate FFS.
April 23, 2023 at 3:55 pm #260811Sold 7 times more season tickets than this time last year. Not long to wait to see if Swanny kicks him out. Brassy said the weekend.
Several ways to look at that, last year’s early bird deadline was end of May, this year it’s April 21st, however, this has now been extended by two weeks because of the statement ” seven times more sold than this time last year “. Now when the extension was announced I believe you Awaywego had a moan about DH changing his mind again, really, maybe it’s called ” clever marketing “. Let’s see how the next fortnight goes, it might extend to the end of May after all, let’s wait and see.

From what someone else has stated, they appear to be saying that Swann & Hilton may no longer see ‘eye to eye’ on the sale value?
It’s all very cloak & dagger.April 23, 2023 at 4:14 pm #260813Surely a price was agreed at the point of sale?
April 23, 2023 at 4:37 pm #260817Deerey the rumour was Swanny now believes Hilton hasn’t got the funds. Not about the price. That is what I saw on my son’s phone how much the rumour as changed or being embellished I don’t know. I was first to post on the rumour in the thread “early bird season ticket deadline extended” .

April 23, 2023 at 5:58 pm #260822I was replying to what Rene said about not seeing ‘eye to eye on the sale value’. Not having enough funds isn’t really not seeing eye to eye is it? That was my point. As far the rumour, must be true if it was on your son’s phone. Has he got a direct line to Swann and Hilton?
April 23, 2023 at 6:09 pm #260823‘Deerey the rumour was Swanny now believes Hilton hasn’t got the funds’
Eh? Hilton said he’d already demonstrated ‘proof of funds’ when they made the deal. Something’s amiss. What changed do you think?
April 23, 2023 at 6:34 pm #260824Any conformation Hilton and his family got abused, or is it all Social Media Talk?
If that is true, then it is poor form. How did a club official manage to come into contact with fans leaving the stadium? Did Hilton leave on the whistle or did the fans wait for him to leave the stadium?
Calling people names, verbal and physical abuse is childish and such behaviour shows people up for what they are, lacking both respect and an education.
As you might have gathered, I am no fan of Hilton but the pen will always be mightier than the sword. In times like this it is always best not to give people an exit route.
April 23, 2023 at 6:36 pm #260825And there you have it Deerey my sentiments exactly, the fa and NL wanted proof of funds and a business plan, surely you don’t think I believe the rumour Deerey lol
