I really like de Santis.
July 15, 2024 at 12:23 pm #288161Just as ridiculous IMO bill but there you go once again we disagree, not rocket science as usual.
July 15, 2024 at 2:06 pm #288165“leans towards a globalist rather than nation state template”.
It is the 5th largest economy in the world, so hardly a bad idea to think and act globally is it.
July 15, 2024 at 2:50 pm #288170They say Trump has rewritten his speech for the GOP convention ( does he really write them ? ) and will take a more conciliatory tone rather than attack the Democrats . Amazing how nearly getting your head blown off after years of spouting bile can change a person
July 15, 2024 at 3:01 pm #288172So no urging of the ‘second amendment people’ to get his Democrat opponent this time then or calls to reject election results if he loses then? I guess it might be too much to ask as time goes on.

No disagreement re economic cooperation etc Makes sense to reach out globally. That’s not what I was referring to.
July 15, 2024 at 5:32 pm #288174…just to reinforce my position concerning California,Iron-awe. https://youtu.be/W9_DOrSsdlA?si=pk2c8X6rm21K0m0C
July 15, 2024 at 5:56 pm #288175The news report states California approves bill allowing communists to take government jobs ( 7 years ago),imagine the changes to the State since then… https://youtu.be/zkVb1UxjAuk?si=EJ_ktS_sJFgZb7IR
July 15, 2024 at 6:00 pm #288176So not many then, since California hasn’t turned into a communist state.
July 15, 2024 at 6:28 pm #288177..communistic.
July 15, 2024 at 6:29 pm #288178Or like that vague term you made up which can mean whatever you want it to mean.
July 15, 2024 at 6:32 pm #288179..but hey, people are leaving California in their droves? Obviously you are oblivious to these fact,Siderite.
July 15, 2024 at 6:35 pm #288180..and to watch the videos would destroy your position..so you decline to watch them!
About right.July 15, 2024 at 6:40 pm #288181People leaving California does not mean the state is remotely ‘communistic’. I am making no defence of Newsom, just that this framing is a load of nonsense. Wake me up when the state brings in GULAGs, collectivised farms and cultural revolutions or anything like that. Or make a proper definition of ‘communistic’ that could fit anything you dislike
July 15, 2024 at 6:44 pm #288183High cost of housing and living are the main reasons. Good job we got rid of the communistic Tories.
July 15, 2024 at 6:46 pm #288184“That’s not what I was referring to”.
Apologies for failing the JI mind reading exam again.
July 15, 2024 at 7:37 pm #288185Why are you so irritable all the time, Heath? My memory may be betraying me but I think I vaguely recall a time when you were civil and didn’t immediately resort to sarcasm or sneering. A simple request for clarification would have sufficed.
What I meant was that economic cooperation across the nations is one thing. A trend towards Globalised Governance is entirely different.
Many Brexiteers were accepting of the economic union ..EEC or Common Market etc.. but rejected the rapid politicisation of the market and the centralising of sovereignty in Brussels or Strasbourg. That was what I meant.July 15, 2024 at 9:26 pm #288191Thanks.

My reply to this-
One of the main reasons people give for leaving California is because it is becoming more and more Communistic. It is not me saying this,it is the people who once lived there.July 16, 2024 at 7:10 am #288196Siderite may I direct you to an article to prove my point,”California goes full Communist with utility bills.”
July 16, 2024 at 7:36 am #288197..as you realise the disastrous communist ideology is a long march – do people ever look back at the misery it has inflicted on the world in the past?

July 16, 2024 at 8:54 am #288199I do, I have read a lot about it, but it isn’t being replicated by a state of the USA which runs on a capitalist economy.
July 16, 2024 at 9:24 am #288201So given Gavin Newsom’s track record in California, do you agree with Iron-awe when he stated , “ A good choice for democrats would be Gavin Newsom, great debater, full of good ideas and would certainly galvanise the Country.” Or do you think his Communistic ideas would be a disaster for America?
July 16, 2024 at 9:28 am #288203I have made no comment on Newsom’s ability, only that he isn’t ‘communistic’.
July 16, 2024 at 9:59 am #288204but the facts speak for themselves. Is he Governor in name only? Did Newsom disagree with “ California goes full communist with utility bills.”? The actions of the California state is Communistic. 7 years ago “ California approve bill to allow Communists to take government jobs.” You only have to look at the evidence , that is in black and white.
July 16, 2024 at 10:51 am #288219I have looked into the utility fees and there’s nothing communist about imposing flat fees, nor is allowing communist affiliations to not rule out public sector roles. This has happened across many capitalist nations and doesn’t make them ‘communistic’. None of this is me saying whether these are right or wrong.
July 16, 2024 at 11:51 am #288222..as you realise the disastrous communist ideology is a long march – do people ever look back at the misery it has inflicted on the world in the past?
Communism has inflicted misery, Capitalism has inflicted misery, religion has inflicted misery, etc etc. Gavin Newsom may have inflicted misery, but he is far from being “communistic”. Those who are still scared of reds under the bed, will sling that title at anybody left of Trump, but it doesn’t make it true
July 16, 2024 at 11:51 am #288223bill is always after his gotcha moment, very funny considering he’s been duped by his faith all his life. Just my opinion of course.
July 16, 2024 at 11:54 am #288224YouTube watch history makes it easy to find videos you recently watched, and, when it’s turned on, allows us to give relevant video recommendations. You can control your watch history by deleting or turning off your history. If you delete some or all of your watch history, YouTube won’t base future video recommendations on that content. Any videos that you watch while history is turned off won’t show up in your history.
For “recommendations” read algorithms.
Might I suggest turning off watch history in YouTube before it leads us up the garden path.
If we look up something on YouTube the algorithm will dump lots of the same on your YouTube account. -
