Efl give permission for Wigan to start new season even though they are in administration and havnt got an owner, probably the same fiasco has we had with Bolton last year calling games off when they feel like it.
It’s alright though they are a big club remember.
The rules don’t apply like they do to Bury and the like.
Wigan and Bolton have won the same number of FA Cups, I think.
To be fair, Wigan look a lot more likely to be salvageable than Bury were last year. After all, the club was running well before the current owners put them into admin.
The real scandal is how dubious owners are allowed to run these proud, historic clubs into the ground.
You are right, to be fair to Wigan this largely isn’t their fault and they have been screwed by an owner who should never have passed the FA’s test.
I do wonder though if someone like us or Mansfield or the like were in the same position if we’d be treated the same way.
Bolton have won three Fa cup ferrite, big club nah don’t think so , only being a league club since 1978 just not enough long standing history.Imo. Not even the biggest club in their own town.
