Bloody hell the internet has a lot to answer for!

Well mental illness has been around for many thousands of years Pat but the Internet has just allowed it to become more widespread then was officially recognised before.

There will be no apologies whatever happens, the few of us that called out Swann from day one never got an apology for all the abuse we got and the lies told about us.

Not wanting to be divisive, anarchistic, revolutionary or a ‘troll’ (laugh out loud) etc
But, reasonable people with a modicum of intelligence are usually open minded to information.

The ‘Hilton Report’ contained a link to an EDM (Early Day Motion) stating that Parliament (HoC)

“ That this House is seriously concerned by the activities of Britannia Law. “

    Jeremy Corbyn supported the motion.

    https://edm.parliament.uk/early-day-motion/44088/britannia-law

Not my document – UK Parliaments.

Neither am I the author or have contributed in any shape or form to the ‘Hilton Dossier’.

I’m neither Pro or Anti Hilton.

    Que Sera, Sera.

Let’s keep an open mind and not get lost in the fog.
As ever, time will reveal all.

TBF Rene, certain people have come on here and made claims regarding the new owner not having the financial ability to complete the purchase of GP and surrounding land on May 24th, all others have said is that without proof their claims mean nothing. They say one thing and others disagree but conjecture has never been helpful when trying to have an honest debate based on facts, that’s all most sensible minded individuals want don’t they?

“I don’t really care about being right, I just care about success. You’ll find a lot of people that will tell you I had a very strong opinion, and they presented evidence to the contrary and five minutes later I changed my mind. I don’t mind being wrong, and I’ll admit that I’m wrong a lot. It doesn’t really matter to me too much. What matters to me is that we do the right thing.”

    Steve Jobs.

    ———————————————————————-

    Doing the right thing!
The 24th will come and go.
Some will be wrong, some will be right.

The right thing for me, is that Scunthorpe United FC exists either in its current guise or as a fledgling Phoenix club. Preferably as we are.

We have fallen way too far, and this was directly because of our former chairman. Whatever your doubts about the new chairman and manager, we have to get behind them. Pre season is going to be Uber important, if we are to stand a chance of hitting the ground running. What we can’t afford is for the recent s*** stirring to cause disunity. We march on together under our banner, and cheer our team to victory.

Not behind either of them for various reasons already well covered, but I’ll continue to support the team and either get to matches when I can or watch on any streaming service that might be available when I can’t.

The first sentence is the reason why the second sentence should not apply.

They say one thing and others disagree but conjecture has never been helpful when trying to have an honest debate based on facts, that’s all most sensible minded individuals want don’t they?

    Some thoughts:

    1) Individuals who are able to purchase and finance loss making football clubs need to be extremely wealthy and have liquid funds on tap. Such individuals generally have a clear history of how their wealth has been obtained. These high net worth individuals buy assets which generate them a return, they are not reliant on third party funders, they use their own money because they are the bank!

    2) In Hilton’s interview which was released on the club’s website on 02/04/23, he made the claim that he has put £3M into Ilkeston. I have looked at their balance sheet and there is no significant change to their fixed assets or net worth under his stewardship to show where the £3M has been invested.

    3) Hilton claims to have told the National League that he will not be funding the club with loans.

    4) If you look at the last set of accounts filed for Hilton’s business (Maxwell Cohen Ltd), assets total the best part of £2M including a bank balance of £2,023 and liabilities total the best part of £2.5M, the majority of which is long term debt relating to secured loans provided by Stoneygate 2007 Ltd & Westfoot Investments Ltd. Now if Hilton has sufficient personal wealth to purchase the freehold and finance the football club, I would have expected Hilton to have personally financed his own business by providing director’s loans and for his business to pay him interest on those loans. Why pay a third party funder if you can pay yourself?

    5) If the Swann family are keen to do a deal on the stadium, naming rights and surrounding land and there are no restrictive covenants, I estimate Hilton needs somewhere between £3.5M and £5M to get the deal done and to see the club through the next 12 months. Remembering point 3, where is the money coming from?

    I just don’t get it.

Some won’t look at the dots. Still, we’ll see where we are by the end of May or before I guess?

Interesting bystander you seem to like research so I will give you some .

This is from a football club in general standpoint out of interest as I cant be bothered to do the research .

With FFP does ‘proof of funds ‘ mean you have the readily available cash to purchase all the assets and pay off creditors as required .

Or COULD it mean you have the required assets /guarantors ,loans and cash all as leverage against a purchase?

On the Scunthorpe Utd front in those podcasts with the lads Swann basically said he would take the money over as long a period of time as the buyer would need so it might actually not be the case that Hilton needs to find 3.4mil in 20 days .

Alphabetical order sees us start the season in 19th place… joint top but also joint bottom.

If we finish there (2 places above relegation zone) next May, then I’ll be happy.

    Consolidation!

What great timing an announcement would be on fixtures release day… 6 weeks past the ‘deadline’ but better late than never.

Kings Lynn away is my guess.
