The problem is not the Manager, you have called for Manager after Manager to be sacked and absolutely NOTHING changes, in fact after sacking each of the said Managers our situation has got worse every single time. We could sack Hill today but while that bell end Swann is here it will not make an ounce of difference, what Manager worth his salt would want to this club?

Topics: 100I can’t see Hill getting sacked… it’ll cost money.
It’s obviously very, very early – but has the die being cast for the season?
Solihull are odds on for the win on Saturday. So it’s looking like 3 defeats on the spin.
Form becomes a trend and then stats.
The stats become a yoke around your neck weighing & dragging you down.
Confidence and self belief is erased.
Doubts, fear & trepidation overshadow everything you do.
It’s a vicious negative vortex sucking you in to the abyss.Still, a win on Saturday and it’s a 50% non league win rate.

August 17, 2022 at 7:55 am #242778No sorry, he has to go we are pumping the ball long and high, whilst other teams play on the ground and score in the six yard box from low hard crosses.
Other teams have highlighted our weaknesses ie O,Malley and Taft and are exploiting for fun. The Lancashire Cold-pot has to go.

August 17, 2022 at 9:34 am #242799As we’re fond of a lyric quote on Bru, didn’t Brittney Spears sing “Whoops! I did it again”?
Well we could be be singing that ourselves if we allow Hill to assemble his own squad only to sack him half a dozen games in and appoint a new manager to work with players he didn’t sign.
As someone else has said, a vicious circle that is rapidly turning into a vortex.
August 17, 2022 at 9:43 am #242802Are we not allowed to think that there might be two things wrong with the club? Even if one is worse than the other?

August 17, 2022 at 11:10 am #242806I think it’s the type of knee jerk reaction to an insipid uninspired performance that leads to these ” sack the manager ” outbursts, as NI points out it would defy logic to remove a manager just having assembled his own squad, albeit four players short and showing him the door three games in. There were a few fans creaming their pants after the win over Yeovil, turned a corner, on the up, blah blah blah. Give it a f****ng rest and give it some time and we haven’t assembled the full squad yet and still have fitness issues surrounding some of the players already here.

I will mention Status Quo and Yazz just to keep us all amused SD0101 but you know the real answer is patience, I’m sure Gary and the boys would back me on that.
August 17, 2022 at 2:31 pm #242826Yes I’ll take that for the time being, but we need to get back to where we started from ,,reach for the stars,,or am I just a sad sweet dreamer
August 17, 2022 at 3:35 pm #242828So Swann is the only reason why our supposed footballers haven’t been able to string two passes together and get ripped to shreds by two bottom half National League teams!?
Our defending is absolutely abysmal. The amount of times already this season that teams have been able to get in behind and flash balls across the 6 heard box unchallenged is shocking. Yeovil did it about 3 times too, they just thankfully had an immobile tree up front who couldn’t get on the end of them!

August 17, 2022 at 4:27 pm #242830The Radio Humberside reporter last night said that Hill changed his formation four times in the first half. If Hill doesnt know what he is doing how on earth can we expect our players to know. The phrase “YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOU’RE DOING” springs to mind. His job is surely on the line after that display.

August 17, 2022 at 4:32 pm #242831We need the new owners in ASAP to steer us and bring stability. It feels as if we have no-one at the helm with the dis-interested Swanns waiting in the wings to see if we can be wound up. This is my opinion.

August 17, 2022 at 6:11 pm #242836Hill had to change things. Some players were not preforming as they should. He learned a lot from last night. Other teams have found out our weaknesses and know how to play against us.what worries me the most is the attitude shown by the players. Including our most senior players.

Speaking of which, where’s Bucksiron?
He usually has an alternative viewpoint on these things.

August 17, 2022 at 7:26 pm #242840There are things learned from last night…
1: We can’t and will never be able to field a 4/4/2 formation with the current players. Beestin, Butterfield and Whitehouse are good players in their own right but as shown against Woking they don’t have the athleticism/ mobility to match up against some of the players from this league.
2: O’Malley must never find himself LB in a back 4 again this season
3: Taft is a ticking, mistake ridden time bomb
4: Boyce looks like he’s wading through treacle at times
5: Hill is a lunatic and clearly doesn’t 100% know what he’s doing. Players will need clear concise information from the side lines, not a manager chopping and changing umpteen times, who decides to change formations 4 times before the 1st half is even over.
I do have huge doubts about Hill but he’s hamstrung himself with the shitty budget.

I don’t think you can fault Beestin’s performance last night.

August 17, 2022 at 7:51 pm #242845We had only played 2 games Anderson how had we been found out? One of them which we’d won, or are you meaning Hill carried on just the same as last season meaning he learned sod all.

Not sure why I even included Beestin when referring to last night. What I meant to say was Whitehouse and Butterfield are good players in their own right but as shown last night get easily over run and that they’ll only work in a 3 with Beestin.
I knew what I meant but came out wrong. I stand by everything else I said though !

Cometh the hour – cometh the men!
We think that Saturday will be a massive indicator of things to come this season.
If we were to get smashed 3-0 or even 4-0… then ?

August 17, 2022 at 8:11 pm #242851Solihull Moors have one of the better teams at this level and are tipped to go up. A 3 or 4 nil drubbing wouldn’t be a big surprise.

August 18, 2022 at 12:14 am #242866Everyone will have seen the live TV game. How are midfield was set up and how to play
Against. Stop the threat and stop us playing. Attack the LB and get crosses in.
Make our centre backs nervous and make mistakes.August 18, 2022 at 12:45 am #242869i believe it was commented that the Solihull manager was in the stands at Woking so pretty sure hes got that in his notes.. Saturday could get a bit messy if they (Solihull) turn up, i expect them to win ..comfortably and burst the Irons 100% home win form for this season.
August 18, 2022 at 12:46 am #242870Iron Awe, were you born a complete arse hole or is this side of you reserved for me on this forum ?. If it’s the latter then I have to say I’m flattered.

I’m not saying Hill is blameless but what has sacking the last god knows how many managers achieved? What would appointing a new Manager achieve? He still has the same squad and the same laughable budget to try and put some sort of a squad together.
