An irrational worldview is easy to dismantle, when thoughtful questions are asked.

I agree, which is why I think Christian fundamentalism can be easily dismantled. :-)

I would if I could be bothered, but there have been several discussions and you haven’t convinced me. I don’t see what I’d gain. I have come across such videos before and not been convinced.

I don’t believe in a god, the god I least believe in is the Christian God, because it’s the god I’ve been taught the most about. I am not ruling out the possibility of a god, I just don’t believe it to be true. Technically I’m agnostic (I don’t claim to be 100% correct because nobody knows for sure – even fundamentalists), but I use the term atheist, as my main “belief” is there is no god.
But my morality is not based on the commandments (the first 4 commandments don’t seem that moral). The question “would you commit murder, rape or robbery if you knew that no God existed?” very few people would answer “yes”, undermining the claim that religion is needed to make us behave morally. I worry about people who think they would rape and murder if there is no god, as that is not morality, that is just being scared of punishment. Having said that, if the only thing stopping bpg from raping and pillaging is watching fundamentalist videos, then please carry on watching your videos.

    You didn’t watch the video,obviously.
It was a debate between an atheist and a Christian.
Who had the better argument for the existence of God?
    I await your response.

Pretty much where I’m at and doubt I’ll change before I die. if anything I’m likely to become less believing that there may be a God, if painful effects of a killer disease kicks in.

I don’t think hectoring is going to impell anyone to watch bpg. I’d add to your comments about it being a debate of an atheist and Christian is that, thats not strictly true. There’s also an annoying pro Christian twerp in a box chipping in his two pennorth worth

I actually started watching the video, which prompted me to write what I wrote, but I didn’t carry on. Having posted so many videos, none of which have changed my beliefs, you cannot expect us to watch all of them. Just as I wouldn’t expect you to watch endless Richard Dawkins videos.

I wasn’t trying to convert you to Christianity,FiftyPence.
The videos were discussions between atheists and a believer in a Creator.
    The outcome was most revealing.
But hey,i’m not trying to get one over on you ,just wanting you to think through your presuppositions.
If your not interested so be it,but I tried.

When I was doing A Level History, my tutor, the late Tony Armstrong taught us the importance of expressing views in our own words rather than plagiarising others works.

Something that stood me in good stead for my later life.

Possibly a worthwhile alternative to someone else’s videos.
