Where is everyone ? We used to have good exchange of views, of course we had the wind-up merchants.

Can remember after every game people used to rate players performance in said game – where has that gone ?

I don’t bother much these days Sanfran. Don’t do X or Facebook and am uninterested in what a handful of idiots post on there. Don’t see any point in rehashed Hilton tales either.

Only leaves talking football or trying to have a laugh which used to generate some decent posts but doesn’t seem be what interests folks anymore.

Maybe we all have PTSD from the Hilton and Swann eras.

    If “we’d” have abstained for a further 1 hour & 13 minutes – it’d have been 48 hours since a post.

I’m sure it will pick up again soon once the games start coming. Suppose there’s a lot going on in the world right now and not much Iron activity to discuss? It’s quiet on the other platforms too tbh.

As for player ratings, maybe not so much a case of ‘where’s it gone?’ but ‘where’s bartonscorpion gone?’. Just thinking about player rating posts the other day. Used to enjoy them.

TBF Rene, I think you’re responsible for creating at least 50% of new threads and rehashing countless others. Are you in Bru semi retirement?

Bru was better when actual football was secondary to having a laugh. It got ruined like all football media by wannabe home football managers and shite like talksport massaging their ego’s.Phone like (606)ins were crap after Danny Baker left the arena.Same as these boards, too many Burney’s

Hopefully Bartonscorpion is still with us and he will explain. I do know that a couple of years a go he had a bad leg that slowed him down along with Father Time .

BS lost his wife a few years back and he was no spring chicken himself, perhaps he’s joined the long lost bigot brigade at last.

That must have been along time ago 64 i’ve been on here nearly 8 years now and I can’t ever remember you having a laugh.

On what has happened just like Deerey said nothing much, nothing from the club to comment on, well other than they’ve put back the date for the lineup to be announced for the weekender till Sunday other than 2 acts for Saturday and 3 on Sunday already announced.

Which hardly any of us will be going anyway.

He also mentioned having serious eye problems a year or so ago so it might be that?

    As for it being a slow week, some things that might be factors;

Nothing much on-field or off to moan about
    Butler Outists quietened
    Not much club activity reported
    Not much intrigue, gossip, rumour
    Burner accounts quiet
Time of the season – waiting for the final run in
Weather improved – washing to put out, gardening to be done
Bad reception in our nuclear bunkers
    Not arsed with life generally…

    Perhaps we’ve burnt ourselves out?
So many ups & downs, twists & turns… it’s being exhausting.
We’re all hoping we are champions but I doubt if anyone is confident enough to put their shirt on that outcome.

Neither have I but it’s a fact that age is a killer, gets us all eventually and BS did not appear to be a very well man around the last few times he was posting. BS if your out there and can still see give us a shout on here.

Hard to summon up the same enthusiasm when your next game is against Leamington rather than Sheffield United, Sunderland, Blackpool etc as in the not too distant past.

Of course the Butler outists are quite, he’s changed his formation and the team look better for it and he’s been getting results, hope he can achieve promotion as nothing else is good enough, if not he should go just like Jimmy.

All quiet on the Western front ..not a lot to comment on recently especially with ABs apparent change of heart and more attacking flowing football being on the menu.

Add to above some ov us peasants are busy working .. or got locked in a naturist ,bondage “discipline” and swingers resort for a few days.

It used to be each thread had a talking point that was built on and kept to the subject matter, opinions always differed but now I see a rapid movement to vitriol and bitterness within most threads which is only appealing to very few people, moderators being anything but moderate, couple that with the cliff edge plummet and the standard of opposition on offer it is little wonder some cannot be bothered anymore (commenting on here). It feels like a societal problem where people want to give instant judgement on others.

Also the division that Hilton caused is still hanging over us. Very dark days.

I’d much prefer to have a chat with 4/5 individuals on here rather than the absolute car crash that is the Scunny Fans Facebook group.

I remember vividly the cesspit social media became during Hilton’s tenure, and how this forum- in general- remained a place for healthy debate.

Just had a browse on the Facebook Group. About four threads in the lsst 24 hours. One of them 14 hours ago asking what time the bar opens today which illicited two replies. Most Iron themed platforms are quiet recently.

Just goes to show what apathy there is, even the club can’t be arsed to join the bandwagon and support International women’s day, missed opportunity of someone sponsoring it lol.
