Iron Bru › Forums › Blast Furnace › We’re back!
Afternoon all,
The site is now back online, albeit running a slightly stripped back version.
We have experienced some pretty major technical difficulties with the server over the past couple of days, which has been the reason for the long periods of downtime. Unfortunately the website had exceeded the database size limit and we’ve lost a number of posts from the Blast Furnace archive, which is why ‘like’ counts had fallen. We have managed to salvage the majority and these will be drip fed back onto the site over the next 48 hours when things have settled down.
Please accept my apologies for the downtime – I’ve been trying to juggle fixing the site with usual work commitments and looking after a 5mo old which has been quite the challenge! We should be back up and running fully by early next week.
If you are still experiencing any issues please drop me an email at matt@iron-bru.co.uk and I’ll work through the issues as soon as practical.
Cheers
OK twigged it now. We’ll done Matt
Ok on iOS.
Nice one Matt, all in good time, looking after that little un’ is more important then any old football forum, thanks for all your continued efforts.
No problem with the missing posts, I’m sure ‘someone’ will have screenshotted them! ;-)
It’s our time.
Well done Matt, your efforts are much appreciated.Just make sure you get your priorities right, speaking from lots of experience family first everytime.
I’m sure Matt looks upon us as family.
The nutty eccentric ones you don’t talk about!
Well done that man.
Well done Matt, but your looking after a 5 month old is not as bad as my problem has been, I have been looking after and calming down SIX BABIES that are all more trouble than your one Matt.
Take up a new hobby BS. Take your mind off it?
well as usual your dog is blacker Barton.
We’ve decided to not reinstate the rest of the posts to keep us all calm and on an even keel, it’s a lot of information and clogs up the sever with historic posts
“Calm and on an even keel”? I admire your optimism, 99%!
Logging in feels like walking into a familiar pub that’s just had one of those Gordon Ramsey style makeovers – it seems the same yet it looks all different.
But Matt, as IA says above, little un should come first before a few pixels on the screen.
Pity about the archive, you often get better sense of somebody’s political opinions etc. by browsing past comments, rather than just looking in an individual forum. It was also useful for ‘today’s listening’ if you wanted to catch something new, different, etc. Maybe it could be reinstated going back a year or two, instead of 4-5 years, to keep teh database smaller.
Good call Gurney.
Or at least to before the General Election!
