    Ex-Championship Club
    ‘Big’ Club
    Big budget
    Big crowds
    Big expectations
    Big demands

Each game for our opponents is a ‘Cup Final’
They are inspired, motivated, driven to get one over us in both of their ‘Cup Finals’
They are able to raise their game and play above themselves.

We; we have 46 ‘Cup Finals’ to play!
We ain’t a Man City, Real Madrid or Munich.
We don’t have the squad depth that they have.
We have a limited number of players and therefore find it very difficult to rotate & refresh the team.
The embargo has prevented us from complimenting, improving and strengthening the squad.

We are our own worst enemy.

Rene ..dont have to be inspector Clooso to see your posts makes valid points .. glaring example Buxton being a bang average side who have done us twice this season purely on as you say playing out their skins… alas such is the change in performance level i just feel some thing is wrong what fans are not privvy too ..could be within playing set up or behind the scenes at the club , i have noticed the players seem less jovial , less smiles ..i hope im wrong and whatever is going on is rectified ASAP.

Maybe Jimbob’s contract is only to the end of the season and will only be renewed if we achieve promotion?
Maybe the pressure of that is affecting his judgement and the pressure is being transmitted to the players?
    Just speculating like.
Injuries, lack of depth of squad, suspensions, embargo are all working against him.
Let’s hope we can turn a corner.

Own worst enemy suggests we are actively sabotaging our own success, I’d say we might be a victim of circumstances, some of which are the club’s own making.

Anyone at the start of the season would have told you 2 points-per-game is “promotion form”. Well that’s what we’re averaging. Yes performances have been pretty damn poor of late but if we finish the season on 92 points and don’t go up automatically, then hats off to the team who manages to accumulate more points than us!

How is where we are the clubs making ? There is no way the club wanted this. The club has been reduced to this by people who were failures ! They took it out on the Supporters and did it by nearly driving the club to extinction !

Because the club existed before the current ownership and because the fact that we signed a bunch of high quality players in the summer heaped pressure on us. And indeed previous owners led us to a division where we were the huge pre-season favourites.

Are the players our current worst enemy?

    Are they ‘on strike?’

The players have turned stale – even the keeper is playing shite at the minute. I link this to the management – this is reinforced by the new chap Maclinden – hasn’t been tarnished with the current culture and played OK, the others just seem to be going through the motions but he was the only one who stood out on Tuesday
