Watching the latest Reg Dwight doc, I’m reminded of this match when what I presumed was an Elton John lookalike ran with a ball the length of the pitch before KO about 2:45 and whacked it in the empty net in front of the DRE to lots of jeering. The newspaper clipping in the link below says he was there that day. Guess it may well have been him after all. And yes, we were unlucky not to have bagged a couple in the second half.
