Refugee hotel isn’t it going to be? Should cheer all the right wingers up ( not the football ones ).
February 8, 2022 at 4:33 pm #231764Never thought I would say this Les but I do miss the Berkley.
I loved the Berkley, my favourite pub in town really. If you class it as being “in town”.

Yep, no tv or music blaring in your lugs, just a pub full of football banter pre match and a decent pint.

February 8, 2022 at 6:32 pm #231774You don’t have to have an intimate relationship with alcohol to support the Iron but I personally find it helps these days.
I usually leave an away game drunk as a skunk. Or maybe I just smell that way? 🤪
February 8, 2022 at 7:21 pm #231779Well worth a look on the Walsall forum, Walsall FC a broken club thread, remind you of anyone else?.
February 8, 2022 at 8:16 pm #231781First 30 minutes has been an absolute shambles
February 8, 2022 at 8:33 pm #231782Can’t quite believe we’re winning (we have been absolutely shocking as per) but I’ll take it!
February 8, 2022 at 9:53 pm #231783Well done lads. Hard fought victory tonight!!!

February 8, 2022 at 10:06 pm #231786PHEW!! Well done the lads for seeing that one out for a valuable 3 points. Great effort, particularly with Pugh’s harsh dismissal early in the second half. Let’s hope it’s given them a bit of confidence going forward.

February 8, 2022 at 10:18 pm #231789Always do things the hard way,
but nevertheless, victory never tasted sweeter. Everyone left it out there tonight and showed some resilience and character that’s long been missing.Great to see the scenes at full time too; 2,100 in the ground and it felt double that at times during the 2nd half. Well done Scunny fans on getting behind them tonight.
Although, Someone needs to hold a whip round and get an upgrade on the drum.

February 8, 2022 at 10:23 pm #231790Ref was abject.
Incidentally, thought when Rory was outside his area – ball hit him on upper chest.First 10 minutes was our most dire opening to any match – probably in my lifetime.
The losing of possession was beyond the worst ever seen.
Happily, matters started to gradually resolve themselves.
Super defensive display at CB and Millen got a lot right!4 users thanked author for this post.

So do I, the only place I would consider having a pint or two before a game. Unfortunately it’s down to that pillock Humphrey Smith.

February 8, 2022 at 11:18 pm #231807I have to agree with Lesgeo. You get some poor referees at the arse end of league football but tonight’s was a doozy.

The beer still floweth.
February 9, 2022 at 12:09 pm #231843I see Walsall have binned their manager.
We must be close to a world record for the number of managers that get sacked the day after losing to us.

February 9, 2022 at 8:24 pm #231862I did think Thanatos would have give his thoughts on the game and his experience, guess he’s a sore loser.
February 9, 2022 at 9:26 pm #231863Maybe he wondered why a Scunny fan would think he knew more about the club he supports and decided to give it a miss?

February 10, 2022 at 11:44 am #231876My comments were based on facts, not opinions, Walsall FC have never had the freehold of the Bescot or Banks whichever you like to call it they have always rented, an inference to it being :ours:as he stated puts a totally different take on it, and more likely to persuade posters on here it’s been bad when in reality it hasn’t, so if Thantos or anyone else posts they can be expected to be challenged.
February 10, 2022 at 3:11 pm #231881Lol, whatever! As far as I can tell reading back you read one statement relating to the matter and started telling him what he already knows with nitpicking thrown in to try and look smart. When he said ‘our own stadium’ I’m sure he’s fully aware of the technicalities.
‘We pay our old chairman £450k per year for the luxury of playing at our own stadium and it’s crippling.’
I’ll take his word on the situation thanks.

February 10, 2022 at 3:56 pm #231882One statement Deerey, read loads on Bonser and Pomlett went as far back as 1995 Walsall club accounts, any further back you had to pay £3 for each search so didn’t go any further, bit of a saddo but I do check the facts, there for all to see even you Deerey. I did say the inference to it being “our” puts a different take on it.
February 10, 2022 at 4:35 pm #231884Hopefully he enjoyed that pint with a few articulate Scunny fans.

February 10, 2022 at 7:10 pm #231887Doubt it very much after all we were at home, and as for Thanatoser he would find it hard to articulate to scunny fans his bizarre reason for being there.
February 11, 2022 at 10:21 am #231888Gone a bit quiet after your last post awaywego. Surprised no one felt the love.
