April 24, 2021 at 5:44 pm #205368Cox isn’t the problem he’s just a symptom.
Doesn’t matter who is in charge the end result will be the same.

And after another pathetic performance, Cox still gets people backing him, ae these people going to be happy next season watching this bloody rubbish, how many games will you ive him to change???, he has has 43 games plus first round Cup defeats this season, and things have just gone worse as the time passes. Swann has sacked eight managers that all had better records than this defensive clown.
April 24, 2021 at 6:01 pm #205372I’m not backing him. He’s doing a terrible job. My point was more that regardless of who is hired they will do a terrible job because of who they are working for.

April 24, 2021 at 6:02 pm #205373Watson wasn’t playing.
Don’t spoil the moment les, at least it makes us smile unlike the football. 😂

April 24, 2021 at 6:06 pm #205374The performance today was one of the most gutless efforts I have seen for a long time, nobody earned their money today and to have another game without a shot on target is unacceptable, there was no motivation on or off the pitch today, I can’t fathom out the tactics but it’s certainly designed to spend as much time as possible in our penalty area and not to attack the other end, we are now relying on Exeter, Port Vale or Cambridge to take a minimum of 2 points off Grimsby and we don’t get big defeats from our last 3 games.

April 24, 2021 at 6:16 pm #205378First time this season I’ve made zero effort to try and watch the game and just spent time outdoors with the family instead. Definitely the right decision after reading the comments here.
I’ve lost all interest…doubt it’ll come back anytime soon.
April 24, 2021 at 6:26 pm #205379After watching the game today,i just can not believe that any of our players(apart from Gillieard) can justify making a living as a professional footballer.I must say if that is so there’s hope for me at my age.On being a supporter of Scunthorpe United for nearly 55years i have never seen such a poor collection of so called players.
I would call them WAGE THIEVES who would be fortunate to play in our local Sunday league,no one would want to sit/stand on the terraces to watch this lot.
Dickie Rooks and his players would have been an improvement on this shower.
As for our so called chairman he finaly got what he set out from the start of his campaign which was to control and own the land where the ground is situated.
He tried exactly the same trick at Gainsborough Trinity with the land Trinity’s ground was positioned but was unsuccessful due to members of Blues Club contesting his devious motivations !!!!!
Best of luck to all for next season.3 users thanked author for this post.
April 24, 2021 at 6:57 pm #205382I haven’t bothered with the last 2 before today. Made the mistake of having another go. Lasted 56 minutes. Won’t bother again this season. Unless we give Jessop/Dawson/Barks a start then I might take a look.
April 24, 2021 at 7:00 pm #205384Post match interview predictable with one or two new excuses.
“I thought we got in some good areas in the first 10 minutes”
And the other 80 Neil?
” they had half a chance that they turned into a goal with a midfield runner”
Interesting idea, have we thought about trying it?
“The second goal was really poor.” Again.
” but we lacked quality and belief” Again
” We are a bit leggy at the moment” Again.
“Newport on Tuesday night to focus on now
Same focus as the last few games?April 24, 2021 at 7:17 pm #205388I agree. I nearly packed up watching when they scored their second. I definitely won’t be watching any more games for a while.
April 24, 2021 at 7:20 pm #205389I don’t understand why we have so many injuries.I am not sure they are genuine I am of the opinion they don’t want to play for Cox and judging by the last few matches I cannot see any other reason.Does anyone know if other teams have the same massive injury problems.
April 24, 2021 at 7:55 pm #205392After this season we need a clean sweep. Wilcox needs binning off, Cox is dog mess and not sure what Lillis brings to the table.
Ideally Swann should piss off as well but that’s not going to happen right away so best we can hope for is a managerial and player clear out.
Honestly…..absolutely pathetic.
Swann’s an awfully brave man if he backs Cox going into next season when we’re allowed in.
April 24, 2021 at 8:16 pm #205393Pride Passion Belief we have none.

April 24, 2021 at 9:24 pm #205400‘When we’re allowed in’.
Allowed in what WG?
April 24, 2021 at 10:22 pm #205406Well he’s not talking about the ESL!
Completely agree with WG. Swann has got of lightly this season. Had fans been in attendance he’d be in no doubt as to what they thought of the performances.
April 25, 2021 at 12:34 am #205417I haven’t watched a single match on ifollow this season so I don’t feel qualified to contribute to the state of affairs on the pitch. However, I feel for the many who have and you deserve much better. Disgraceful respect and attitude from the Board. Pitiful.
