Pre match in here please
December 29, 2020 at 10:59 am #199851A hammering on the cards, I’m afraid.
December 29, 2020 at 11:36 am #199852Difficult not to agree with that assessment NI.
Struggling to think back to the last time it being a match day made me smile.
Hoping we can somehow scratch an early goal and repeat the Harrogate blip.
December 29, 2020 at 12:18 pm #199855Line up / selection is going to be interesting.
Wonder how long it will take for the phrase “It is a young squad and they are learning…..” to arrive. It is getting tiresome, same comments. Then in Mr Cox’s post Mansfield match he said that in training they set out to work on the issues but the players change it to do what THEY want to do !
Who the hell is in charge ?
December 29, 2020 at 1:07 pm #199861We’ve got Trevor Kettle though. Maybe for once his utter incompetence will work in our favour?
Couple of dodgy penalties and a couple of disallowed Walsall goals and we might scrape a draw.
December 29, 2020 at 1:08 pm #199862Our lot don’t play well and play even worse when it’s wet and cold so I’m afraid it’s a good thumping tonight, although I have been wrong before.
The best we can hope for is a postponement.
December 29, 2020 at 2:38 pm #199868Operation back to basics. Defend deep play on the counter and win 1-0.
December 29, 2020 at 3:11 pm #199870Hope you’re right KI, I don’t think we have a ‘nil’ defence available though.
December 29, 2020 at 3:18 pm #199871The defend deep sounds right, don’t know about the counter unless we miss the barn door, you never know we might get another Harrogate.
December 29, 2020 at 3:26 pm #199872Interesting stats.
No one has drawn more games than Walsall, and no one has drawn fewer than us. No one has lost more than us either, but amazingly Walsall have registered only one more win.
If I was a neutral I’d probably go for a 1-1 draw, but as I’m not stick with a home win!
December 29, 2020 at 4:17 pm #199878❄️ It's been a real team effort this afternoon as everyone at the club has been working hard to clear the snow off the pitch ahead of this evening's game against @SUFCOfficial pic.twitter.com/snELKJq4BQ
— Walsall FC Official (@WFCOfficial) December 29, 2020
can they leave the snow on pretty please?
December 29, 2020 at 6:18 pm #199887with both centre halfs now missing 10/1 Walsall to score 4+ goals looks easy money
December 29, 2020 at 6:20 pm #199888No Onariase, no McAtee, no Eisa, no Jarvis.
December 29, 2020 at 6:23 pm #199889No Onariase, no McAtee, no Eisa, no Jarvis.
No hope
December 29, 2020 at 6:31 pm #199890Only Onariase is a loss based on last 3 games and he is injured.
McAtee and Eisa on the bench if they can be arsed for a change.
Jarvis also on the bench. At least he tries even though he is not very good .
December 29, 2020 at 6:44 pm #199892I’d have been tempted to play Rowe before Cordner and play him or Clarke at CB, both done it before.
December 29, 2020 at 6:48 pm #199893Could be a long evening looking at that line up…
December 29, 2020 at 7:03 pm #199896Do we read anything into the fact that McAttee & Eisa have been benched?
December 29, 2020 at 7:26 pm #199897Cox flexing his muscles?. Doesn’t go down well on here.
December 29, 2020 at 8:04 pm #199899I think Cox must have read my post regarding dropping Eisa and McAtee and replacing them with players who give a dam.
Well done Green and Hippolyte. For 45 minutes at least we have looked like a team.
December 29, 2020 at 9:03 pm #199901Mcatee wants binning in January, clearly doesnt want to be here and not even willing to close down their defenders when we are hanging on for a victory. Absolutely terrible attitude, if someone wants him sell him!!
December 29, 2020 at 9:08 pm #199902there’s our one good game in five. Well done.
December 29, 2020 at 9:08 pm #199903Absolutely right Random.Tom Newey on RH might as well said the same
December 29, 2020 at 9:09 pm #199904Credit where it’s due. Good hardworking performance against an OK League 2 team.
Eisa tried a little bit but McAtee turning into a bit of a winker.
O’Malley is class. Too good for this place perhaps.
December 29, 2020 at 9:10 pm #199905Totally agree on McAtee shocking attitude when he came on. Show him the door don’t want players that can’t be arsed to put a shift in especially when he was only on for the pitch 20 mins.
December 29, 2020 at 9:18 pm #199907He’s like a big kid.
Was he sulking for ‘being dropped after scoring in the last match?’December 29, 2020 at 9:19 pm #199908Who expected that, though why can’t we play well against the teams below us.
December 29, 2020 at 9:21 pm #199910Well what do I know eh?
Least we saw a bit of effort (from most) tonight. Needed those three points to keep our heads above water.
Frustratingly if we’d won those so called “winnable” games against Southend, Grimbo & Mansfield we’d have been in the playoffs.
Funny old game!
December 29, 2020 at 9:27 pm #199913Said all that in a previous post NI, but surely that’s why we love the game.
December 29, 2020 at 9:36 pm #199915McAtee was a disgrace – counted no more than 5 steps before giving up when chasing back – he really needs to take a long hard look at himself – stop believing his idiot agent and realise that his next stop will NL north at best unless he sorts his attitude out.
