How long before Lesego or some other rabid Butler out type tries to claim this victory as Butler listening to them

I think the Big Billy Goat Gruff nudged him back under his bridge.

February 8, 2025 at 5:23 pm #298573And the rest of his signings Deerey especially the marquee one who Butler didn’t think good enough to make the bench today.
More than happy the loan players are doing well but even you must admit the rest of his signings ain’t cut the mustard up to now.
The sad thing is they are only here on loan.1 user thanked author for this post.
February 8, 2025 at 5:25 pm #298574We’re top of the league, so he must be doing something right. The problem is that some are all to eager to put the boot in after a bad result, but when things go well there is only faint praise and a reminder that he makes mistakes from them. It makes it hard to take this kind of criticism seriously, as it isn’t constructive.

Absolutely. I’d also add to this the blatant ridicule some of us that said have faith in Butler received, justified some banter. And if anyone thinks that’s childish, stop being a prig.
February 8, 2025 at 5:47 pm #298580I think you’ll find we’re second in the league Siderite, if it were just one poor and I won’t even say result more poor performance you’d have a point but it’s been so many, I believe the criticism of his style of play as being fair especially 5 at the back at home, and is arrogance especially after the Marine game is never going to endear him to fans.
February 8, 2025 at 5:47 pm #298581Pettiness aside, well done to Butler and Scunthorpe on a good result, could’ve been a banana skin but did well. It’s coming together nicely.

My mistake. I assumed the table wasn’t updated. Still, 2nd and with a game in hand is hardly the claims of we’d be plummeting to midtable like the ‘realists’ stated.
Just looked at Kidderminster and Chester twitter and their fans are bemoaning rubbish football and performances. Kiddy fans are saying they can give up on the title now. It’s almost as if this is the standard of football of NLN and berating Butler while we’re in a promotion hunt because we’re not playing like Barcelona is silly. And some credit is due now that we have good form.

February 8, 2025 at 6:04 pm #298584Indeed. It’s one thing being rightfully critical, quite another claiming fellow supporters are idiots, fools and ‘living in dreamland’ if they suggested Butler is still learning, and could well come good. That’s before we get on to ‘sacking culture’.

February 8, 2025 at 6:51 pm #298586How strange that 64 hadn’t spotted that I ceased all ‘Butler out’ calls as soon as he opted for a system which wasn’t failing.
Furthermore, personal glory is never anything which motivates me nor has it ever been the case. -
