What’s the weekly shortfall reported to be?
Any accuracy in these wage figures for this season?
A different site states these as last years (2023-24) figures:

March 25, 2025 at 8:55 am #300572Is the shortfall £65k a month?

“Putting in money every month, 65k a month needed.”
… is the direct quote from the Directors, from Fans64’s notes from the Trust AGM. Is that what they’re putting in, or is it what is required to meet costs?

At present, but Michelle did say yesterday that the accountant has said £5k additional revenue and £5k savings would see them through till season end. Then what? Root and branch financial review?
March 25, 2025 at 10:47 am #300596Is the following too simple?
£65k / 4 = £16.25k a week.5000 Iron Trust Guardians or Scunthorpe Utd Guardians
£16.25k / 5000 = £3.25 a week subscription.Add an extra 25p to the weekly subscription and it generates an additional £65k a year.
That £65k could be used to employ 2 Guardians on the board.
One could be a full time Iron Trust administrator at the ground dealing with all subscriptions & queries.
The other could perhaps do the social media side of the operation and free young James up… or even do some scouting. We’ve loads of people connected to the club with an ‘A’ licence who could do it.
Pay them both £30k, a desk / office at GP and each a Guardians place on the board.
The spare £5k would be for teas/coffees & biccies.£14 a month subscription ensures you continue to have a club to watch each week.
Executive Patrons
We may be struggling to find the multi millionaires who could solve our problems.
However, there are still plenty of very rich people out there.Could we find 50 Executive Patrons who wouldn’t miss or balk at donating £1k a month?
Instal a new Executive Patrons seating area and put them a ‘package’ together.
Some may even just be happy to donate and have their names up in lights, social media, around the stadium, program etc. That’d be another £50k a month.
Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

What about players paying subs (subscriptions) to pay for the pitch and refs like local teams do.March 25, 2025 at 12:37 pm #300607I’m retired I would do the administrator for free!!

The Guardian Board members wages would be funded by the £0.25p x 5000 a week.
So, technically not costing the club anything.Would they be Trust or Club employees? – for the club & trust to hammer out the details.
If it was administered / operated by the trust, then they could advertise the position and appoint their selection.
The Trust & supporters are then represented at board meetings, management meetings and are actively working within the club.
The Trust state that their aims are:
• Ensure fans are legal as well as moral stakeholders in the club, by owning shares and representing members at shareholder meetings.
• Work to improve communication between our members and senior management at the club, ensuring a supporter voice is heard before key decisions are made.
•Informing policy-making at the club.
Contribute towards the long-term success of Scunthorpe United Football Club.Unity
Easy to say – more difficult to achieve. The word ‘community club’ has being bandied around for a while now.
Something along these lines would make us a true community club.
