“We Came To Dance” however, I’m left “Dancing With Tears In My Eyes”.
“Lament”.
Oh well, “I Can’t Stay Long”, I’m off to “Vienna” on my holidays.
Time for me to “Slip Away”.1 user thanked author for this post.
June 10, 2022 at 7:00 am #238573It was never, ever going to happen a some of us called from the start, no realistic plan as to how it was going to be financed, it was a pie in the sky dream by a dreamer that can’t even open a hotel in a seaside resort let alone build a state of the art stadium in a steel town in North Lincolnshire!
Those that ridiculed me and others at the time are noticeable by their absence now!
June 10, 2022 at 7:29 am #238574One of the now biggest critics of Swann on here threatened to grass me up for a comment I made about him on here about 3-4 years ago. Irony is, he now comes out more potentially libellous comments than I do. Whatever. The post above has just reminded me of that episode. How times and mindsets change.

June 10, 2022 at 9:52 am #238579I often said to Foxstreetfiveseven who posts on here even in the times when we were at the top end of league 1 that it would never happen in our lifetime, I do think though that he was trying to build a new Stadium or he wouldn’t have brought Rodwell here but the Council and Highways caused too many problems, but I don’t think his intentions where all football related and it was the extras like housing and apartments plus the sale of Glanford Park and the bonus football wise would have been the Championship, but when we lost to Rotherham the dream disappeared, and when we had problems with the council and he decided he would redevelop our current ground and the cost cutting started and fans lost faith in him with being relegated from league 1 when it should have been impossible with 15 games to go going down to league 2 made the cost cutting impossible to run a league team, I know he keeps bringing up Covid as a excuse but I think he is being genuine to a extent because that season we still had a u23 squad who didn’t even play games so must have cost a lot of money to run, but now it’s about time he cut his losses and sells for his own and supporters sake.

The Lincolnshire Lakes ground development didn’t feature any housing, if I remember rightly, it was all about retail & a hotel I think.
It always seemed ambitious and so it proved.

June 10, 2022 at 10:30 am #238582D’ya reckon the boffins who put together that video could CGI us up a football team?
June 10, 2022 at 1:47 pm #238588They could replace the scoreboard and give the old place a bit of a makeover while they’re at it!

Time for me to “Slip Away”.Midge Ure was in Visage as well as Ultravox.
All the above tracks are Ultravox.
Here’s one from his Visage days.
Will we “Fade To Grey” in the NL?
Or, are we so colourless that we have Faded To Achromatic?
