Whos got rabbit in your house

Me, after seeing this post last night I visited the local butcher this morning, seven effing quid for a rabbit! Still, it’s in the casserole dish and is smelling delicious.

The refs and linesman didn’t see the hand of God goal or the England goal against Germany 2010. FIFA couldn’t allow them decisions to carry on it was getting embarrassing for them.

It’s embarrassing either way. VAR is no answer at all, as Coventry’s disallowed goal shows. That and many other infuriating decisions.

Hand of God and 2010 goal are clear and obvious – would take 5 seconds then goal awarded. This suspect line drawn around somebody’s foot with a debatable point of release from the player playing the ball in – something has to give with this.

Playing Devil’s advocate, here, don’t you have to take the rough with the smooth? Is creating multiple truckloads of awful VAR decisions (like the one on Sunday) and slowing games right down really worth it, just to ensure a couple of goals given that originally weren’t, or to disallow the Hand Of God? In other words: are the occasional positives of VAR really worth the consistent negatives, as well as the general effect on the pace of games?

I think clear travesty of justice (Henry’s handball) should be dealt with in real time but this minute details in offsides and slight touches for penalties all seems a bit too much however I take your point – when do we deem something acceptable – if roles reversed and Man Utd got the goal on that (which they probably would’ve got the decision in their favour anyway) we would be fuming that Coventry got robbed – because they were the underdog and the neutrals favourite. If we had VAR in our league the match would take 4.5 hours

The hand of god goal and Lampards goal against Germany i think are obvious notables for VAR but the game got along just fine before VAR was introduced and has it stopped bad refereeing decisions and dodgy goals NOT REALLY..

Im all for goal line tech but for me VAR offers few positives and is spoiling the game on numerous fronts.

    I VOTE SCRAP IT

If Forest wants to make statements they should not directly target an easily identifiable individual ,we’ve seen in our small club what fans can be like online, imagine that magnified nationally and the effect it could have on an individual who’s mistakes were in a game or games.Id chuck the book at Forest for that. How long before somebody gets hurt?
