Yes, no , indifferent. Latter for me this season would like a good away day somewhere more localish than Brackley.
Ps just seen Bottesford won through.

Love a fa cup away day preferably local but not over fussed this year would rather all attention on going up.
Having said that a few homes draws and our fishy friends at home in first round would boost the coffers

Yes, give some of the squad game time. As well as Bottesford also Cleethorpes and Gainsborough through.

Would a love a cup run.
Reaching the 3rd round of the fa cup was a regular occurrence during the Wharton era raising valuable income.
Since our cup record has been awful.
A cup run would be another great step in restoring the finances and will be interesting to see how we go against teams above us.

Getting to the 1st round would probably count as a good cup run now.

Guaranteed to get a dull home game, it’s what happens in cups.

All rounds won earns money. The longer the run then the board get a bit more financial flexibility. Oak trees from acorns grow.

There’s good money to be earnt in an FA Cup run. With our hectic backstory maybe something the BBC may pick up on and televise us – all dependent on the draw. Although ticket money distributed differently the attendance would all be new revenue non season ticket holder – a good cup run could allow 3/4 decent loans to really strengthen the squad in the winter months.

A cup run would be nice, but promotion has to be the focus for this season above all else.

Getting to the first round proper would only earn the club just over £18.000 in prize money for the 3 wins, as for TV Campion v Blyth only got £1000 each from the BBC and an half twelve kickoff to boot.

Saw something the other day about how the prize money has barely risen in years, especially down at the bottom of the pyramid.

Getting the first round proper has to be the aim, financially important yes, but there’s always a great buzz about a cup run, something we’ve lacked recently

Most important a bit of a run gives the lads not getting regular starts the chance to get/keep sharp.

Better than behind closed doors friendlies.

Prize money the same as last season in the qualifying rounds, 1st round and above yet to be announced was £41.000 for the winners last season but nothing for the losers of the ties.
Ps if you want to watch the draw teletext style go on Football.london I take it will be the same this year.

    Winnable, yet boring.

Might be one selected for BBC

£3,375 prize money if we win and £1,125 if we lose. Seems a long time since we last won a cup match

Yeah, it’s fairly close to where the old Victoria Ground was located, not too far from the Bet365 stadium either. Just been on their website, they’re excited about the tie, as you’d expect. They’re hoping that it will be televised.

Interesting possibility, Bet 365? That would make it possible to break their attendance record.
“In 1996–97 they reached the first round of the FA Cup for the first time, losing 2–0 at home to Notts County in front of a record crowd of 3,948 in a match played at Stoke City’s Victoria Ground.”

A good start for a cup run. Will boost financial flexibility for the board a little bit more provided we win of course.
