Bucksiron, the man with all the answers, just not to any question asked of him.
October 10, 2020 at 3:30 pm #195612Ha ha indeed, what a bunch of jokers you lot are. If you want to believe that I spend time looking for posts on this site, fine, believe whatever you want.
As for Starmer, it doesn’t matter to me what school he went to, state or private, you’re the ones so bothered by it. The fact is he uses his title, which reveals he’s just as much part of the establishment as anyone who went to Eton. Again, that’s fine by me.
What was it Gurnelista said just over one year ago? The Tories are finished. While the election was about Brexit it was also very much about socialism and the hammering Labour took revealed exactly what the country thinks about that. So much for Gurnelista’s insights.
What you don’t seem to understand is that I’m very comfortable with Starmer. At least he understands that Labour’s move to the left was never going to win an election. He knows socialism’s dead in this country and is moving the party back to the right.
As for the pandemic, why would anyone be surprised by what’s happening. Politicians are useless at running things, as is the state. Labour or Conservative we’d still be in the same mess. While our nurses and doctors might be wonderful the NHS as an organisation is hopeless. Even now we’re being told it won’t be able to cope despite having had the last six months to sort itself out.
So, continue with your fun. There’s plenty for you to get your teeth into but I wouldn’t put too much hope in seeing a socialist government; and thank God for that.
October 10, 2020 at 4:00 pm #195617If you’re not bothered by his background, why try to make something of it and say how it sets him apart from the working class? As if that makes a difference when the working classes did vote for Johnson’s government in many red wall seats. YOU were the one who brought it up with a negative tone; I never have.
I don’t know why you’re trying to make out everyone against you is some bitter socialist who is bound to hate Starmer for being knighted. I have never made an issue of it, only The 99% has before you chimed in. I know it suits you to straw men your opponent, because you project your dogmatic nature on to others, believing everyone critical of your view must be a blinkered lefty.
I, for one, am quite pleased with Starmer as a whole, have not been shy in criticising Labour when I feel it needs to be, and have not said anything to the contrary prior to his leadership. In fact I was very much against it. TwoWrights and others have been far more critical of Labour than you have with the Tories, so some self-introspection is needed here for you before you start accusing others of being ideologically blind, I think. So please don’t put yourself forward as the voice of reason when your only criticism of the Tories and vague and always come with a “what about Labour?” as a greater focal point.
October 10, 2020 at 4:10 pm #195619At least he’s stopped with the irritating persecution complex
October 10, 2020 at 4:17 pm #195620Though between the lines there is an overwhelming sense he’s sat there doing his best Gove impression: ‘look at you saddo’s – I’ve moved on and you’re still here. Loooooosers!!’
October 10, 2020 at 4:29 pm #195621Not one word about the blatant corruption!!
October 10, 2020 at 4:57 pm #195630Despite governments being all useless, many governments have done far better than we have so far. It’s almost as if this government is particularly useless and don’t have a get out of gaol free card by finger wagging at how everyone else is useless.
October 11, 2020 at 10:14 am #195680Honest Bob Jenrick strikes again. The 270th most deprived area, his constituency Newark, makes it on to the list of 100 areas/towns to be awarded investment money from the Towns Fund.
Their appears to be nothing to hold back the Tories corruption and entitlement.
In another example of levelling up, his Junior Minister made the decision to include Newark and in turn Honest Bob made the decision to award the funding to the Junior Minister’s constituency!
October 11, 2020 at 10:44 am #195684And there’s mone (sorry more)!!
Handing £122m PPE contract to Tory peer associate is the “definition of corruption” – MP says
October 11, 2020 at 11:26 am #195688Politicians are useless at running things, as is the state. Labour or Conservative we’d still be in the same mess.
In that case why not vote Labour at the next election?
Go on, dare you!
October 11, 2020 at 11:48 am #195690“Politicians are useless at running things, as is the state. Labour or Conservative we’d still be in the same mess”.
Is Cummings a politician? Running the country as a dictatorship isn’t working very well either is it, unless of course you are mates with the dictator or a contributor of funds to the cause!!
October 11, 2020 at 11:15 pm #195716October 14, 2020 at 3:34 pm #195833Today’s instalment of Corruption & Entitlement News. I am sure that we can all sympathise with anyone who forgets to get planning and building control approval for their second and third homes. And we can all understand that it’s right that nobody should be forced to pay for 18 years of unpaid Council Tax on the 2 extra houses. Not in the middle of a global pandemic – it would lead to the ruin of any normal law abiding person, even if they are the non-elected leader supposedly running the country!!
Please show a bit of compassion, it could happen to any of us. We would all expect to be treated in the same way.
October 14, 2020 at 3:46 pm #195834One way to stop this injustice happening to any poor unfortunate second and third home owner in the future is to stop local people having any say in planning applications.
May be someone in power will think of doing this to protect multiple home owners in the future. Regulations and red tape – who needs them?

After years of unequivocal support for the Tories it won’t wash to say they’re as bad as Labour, BI, in fact it’s pretty lame after over a decade of the Tories messing up. Vote Tory, get a recession. So much for Gurn’s insights!
But, it’s not just your wealth, they’re bad for your health too, as we’ve learnt over the past months/years.
However, if you look at countries which are well administered and where people trust their governments, you find they got Covid under control much more effectively. Like Germany, Singapore South Korea, and Vietnam. That’s because their public management and admin. is largely insourced, unlike here, where decades of outsourcing and privatization have brought fewer options and capacities in the face of the crisis, as well as a decline in public trust.
So it’s not governments in general which are the problem, it’s THIS government which can’t be trusted.
There’s a real hunger for honesty and truth in the world, so democracy can flourish. But what do you do? Along with a hernia of right-wingers you contribute to a tide of misinformation and lies, which led to fkwits like Johnson and Trump being elected. Like the jonnies, you reap what you sow, BI.
October 16, 2020 at 9:42 am #195884Sorry for spreading false information and fake news. The daily rate has now gone up to £7360 per day for test and trace consultancy (vultures).
Still the good people of Liverpool will get an extra £20 on their benefits only if they lose their job!!!
October 16, 2020 at 10:59 am #195889“The good people of Liverpool” that cuts the bill down considerably!😜
October 22, 2020 at 4:42 pm #196387More jobs for the boys. They just keep on comin!
October 23, 2020 at 2:36 pm #196450Is there no limit to the sense of entitlement of these leeches?
Michael Gove claimed expenses on a £331 Chinon armchair, a £493 Manchu cabinet, £135 on a pair of elephant lamps, £35 on a foam cot mattress, a £30 door mat and patio furniture worth £219.
He voted against feeding hungry children.
October 23, 2020 at 9:20 pm #196469And another contract wrongly placed, only £170 million to a company who had never made face masks before:
Pest control firm forced to recall faulty face masks after netting £170 million PPE contract
October 24, 2020 at 12:45 am #196474And yet, there are people out there, on here, who would love it, love it, if Farage could have the opportunity to get his grubby little mits on some of this cash and applaud the spiv when he ripped the sofa from under his arse and the roof over his head. All for some misguided notion that he was only in it for ‘sovereignity’. Tragic.
November 3, 2020 at 11:14 am #196900Just when we though this thread had gone away. Here’s another joke for Bucks to respond to when he next drops by:
November 4, 2020 at 7:45 pm #196928Rewarding failure?
Not learning the errors of your ways?
Incompetence?
Scandalous corruption?
The Tory way?
Salting funds away to your mates?
Or all of the above?November 4, 2020 at 11:41 pm #196951Yes, indeed. I was reading this earlier.
No doubt Bucks will be along in due course to assure us that this is “perfectly normal”.

He is of course against the Tories, but what about Labour (which is what I’ll focus on) and why don’t you answer that when it’s not relevant to the thread?
November 8, 2020 at 9:34 am #197040EXCLUSIVE: Kate Bingham, chair of Boris Johnson's vaccine taskforce, has charged taxpayers £670,000 for her own team of boutique PR consultants
According to leaked docs, eight full-time consultants from London firm Admiral Associates are on the equivalent of £165K salaries

It just keeps rolling in.
November 10, 2020 at 11:21 am #197240There has also been a £49m investment in her firm with little to no explanation of what it is for. She is however married to a Tory minister though I doubt that will be a factor in the decision.
November 10, 2020 at 11:06 pm #197295I can feel a song coming on, ‘a never ending story, oh oh oh, oh oh oh, oh oh oh….’
November 10, 2020 at 11:08 pm #197298For his mates, Covid appears to be the gift that keeps on giving.
November 14, 2020 at 7:33 pm #197497Thought I’d have a look in following today’s excellent result. Nothing changes — same old posters, same old comments. The number of “thank yous” have gone down, however, which is hardly surprising given you’re all just agreeing with each other (cue BRI).
How are things going in the Labour party? I see that Starmer’s shaking things up a bit. Talking of which it’s strange how few comments there were around the anti-Semitism report. Funny how something so fundamental should be so ignored by those who find faults everywhere but in their own backyard.
