Just seen he has been released by Mansfield would be a good player to get, looked to have a bit about him when he get a game.
May 10, 2022 at 11:23 pm #237204Really?
I wouldn’t have any of the lot we’ve just sent back. With the possible exception of Delaney.

May 10, 2022 at 11:35 pm #237205Not many appearances in the last month or so though. Presumably unable to play against Mansfield, but would guess either not especially rated by Hill, or one who possibly “feared injury”…

May 10, 2022 at 11:50 pm #237208Delaney started brightly then when the youth project kicked in and understandably he struggled, would be worth going for but would think a league 2 club would where he ended if if he gets released.
May 11, 2022 at 6:34 am #237214Signing him would probably be a good call.
What we now need is signings which are definitely good calls.May 11, 2022 at 8:42 am #237219I’d definitely take Delaney, as above he was asked to play in a back 5 that had no experience or couldn’t be trusted leaving him unable to concentrate on his own job.
Sinclair had one really good game and has more attacking intent than most. Playing him at WB didn’t help, I think he can be polished and if he can add consistency to his game he’s worth a go IMO.May 11, 2022 at 8:52 am #237221I thought Sinclair would be good in the National League, regarding Hill not rating him, possibly because he is over 19.

June 23, 2022 at 9:40 pm #239276Bring back the SINC.
Sinc on the left, cutting inside, allowing O’Malley to overlap and work his magic.2 users thanked author for this post.
June 24, 2022 at 4:39 am #239281I have reservations. We desperately need experience in the side.
If there really is little prospect of experience – take a punt.
TRAINING DAY TWO – One signing.

June 24, 2022 at 9:09 am #239284He wasn’t bad but he didn’t exactly shine even in that team.

June 24, 2022 at 10:18 am #239293Agreed but there was something positive there. Must repeat that experience is the real need.

I don’t think he was given a fair chance

June 24, 2022 at 1:59 pm #239319I wouldn’t disagree with that Mick but equally he didn’t exactly grab his chances to shine when they were offered. He wasn’t bad, arguably one of the best loanees last season, I’m just not sure we saw enough to warrant bringing him here permanently.

June 24, 2022 at 2:10 pm #239322If he’s allowed to play his own attacking game (not as a WB) then I think he could be an asset. He’ll probably be cheap enough too. CONDITION:- If he was one of the “don’t want to play in case I get injured” party then don’t bother.

June 24, 2022 at 2:17 pm #239324Think he well worth a shot. Let’s face it we not exactly spoilt for choice

No idea either way but I remember him being left out of the squad for a game when we had too many loanees and Hill saying Sinclair was mightily p’eed off about it. Which would be a positive sign.
June 24, 2022 at 7:32 pm #239369I’d be delighted if he signed and Hill allowed him the freedom to attack and press teams on the flanks
He’d be a top winger at our new level
