Crikey, someone (UTI99) is sounding pretty desperate today. Job on the line is It? Here’s a tip, don’t call stay away fans ‘thick as…’ and expect them to return. Not ‘rocket science’ is it?

As a fan I’m allowed an opinion no matter how controversial.

If you can’t see that starving the club of finances is damaging then you really are ‘thick as…’

By your reckoning we should all just stay at home and shut the club down.

Why would the club need liquidating if it has sufficient cash flow through ticket sales? 🤦🏻‍♂️

UTI99 why don’t you see that you are the only one that thinks and keeps stating “that it is the fans fault, and their lack of support that has caused all the rot at SUFC, don’t you actually think that it is Swanns management tactics that is totally to blame??, he employed his clueless son as head recruitment scout, resulting in the shite that came to the club, he retained Cox as manager for 12 months too long after he was a complete failure, again clueless, he then transferred the club assets (ground and land etc) to his own company after he had run up a debt of £13 million, but you keep blaming supporters, can’t you see that there is not one person on this forum that supports what you are preaching!!!

So what makes you think that the gate money will be spent on players???, even if we had 3,500 fans every match, that money is hardley enough to cover clubs running costs, never mind anything left over for decent players, and another thing, what decent player is going to come to Scunny when we are no longer a football league club, and at the same time are now classed as very low wage payers.

Looking at your methods UTI-99, why don’t the club put the entrance price up to £30 per match???, supporters have stopperd attending simply because, they have sat in their seats for 4 years now, and have been served up with total shite!!, there is practically no attacking play, one up front, resulting in no shots on target, the team going lengthy spells without a win, currently 17 games without a win, at the same time as being bored to death, after paying their entrance money. I have attended SUFC for 70 years, but like the club owner / chairman, I feel it is much better to stay away. THE CLUB IS NO LONGER WORTH VISITING, AND WILL NOT CHANGE UNTIL SWANN LEAVES, AND HE WILL GET HIS FORCED LIQUIDATION THE WAY HE IS STILL HANDLING AFFAIRS.

It really is impossible trying to communicate with idiots.

Hopefully Simon Elliott, Neil Wright, Lee Turnbull, Leanne Mayo etc have better luck trying to get the message through that the club needs finances to survive.

Make your mind up. One minute you’re saying this:

‘As a fan I’m allowed an opinion no matter how controversial.’

The next, our opinions make us ‘idiots’.

This thread has been one epic fail. Must try harder.

UTI99’s email address would be like gold dust to African “Princes” needing help to get their vast fortunes out of their countries.

Leadership involves communication, motivation and honesty, UTI. Give the fans some honest answers as to what the vision for the future is. I travel a round trip of nearly 150 miles to watch the Iron. There’s a financial commitment before I even factor in my season ticket. If negotiations are too sensitive to be disclosed at this stage then somebody at the club needs to at least say so and ask for patience. If you think that evidence of commitment is needed UTI then supporters can point to the fact that we were not playing to an empty stadium for most of last season. Look at the stats on what we had to endure!! I demonstrate my commitment at this time …. by saying that I will cough up when I have a better idea of what I am buying into .. or that I am certain that my investment won’t be liquidated.

The problem is that no-one, apart from UTI99 and a few others, has any trust in what Swann says. So, even if Swann tells the truth and gives us an earnest vision for the future, there will be scepticism.

‘I’m a multi-millionaire. I’m not prepared to invest some of my wealth for a competetive player budget for the club I have taken out of the league. No, I expect the long suffering supporters facing staggering costs of living to prop it up.’

Can you see how problematic that premise is UTI99?

    Seriously?

Swann is trying to sell the club, why would he care what our budget is? All that matters is we spend what our income allows.

Yes, seriously UTI99. He should gift some of his wealth to make the team worthy of watching, start attracting fans back and make the club a more attractive proposition for potential buyers. Isn’t that what an astute businessman would do?

Deerey, do abit of research on Coolsilk and their finances before spouting nonsense.

    Here’s a starting point:

Doesn’t alter my opinion. It’s a company limited by guarantee isn’t it? Is every opinion that doesn’t reflect your own, idiotic, nonsense, ridiculous? In your world it appears so.

So as well as being a completely crap football chairman, he is also a totally inept business man.

    So no surprises there then.

Deerey, when SUFC fans think the best way to help the club is by starving it of finances then yes they are idiotic.

You point out that Coolsilk are some £29m in the red. Then expect us to use our money to provide, what would be a tiny drop in the ocean, to show what?

    It’s a bottomless pit!

    O.K I’ll bite ….
So money from the fansis the answer to everything UTI99.. Try telling that to all the fans of relegated clubs with a far bigger fan base than us who have struggled to get out of the National league ( look how long it took Luton). If you are as big a genius as you obviously think you are and we are all as thick as you ‘think’ do explain why you support a regime who has form in trying to sell club assets ( Gainsborough Trinity anyone?). Your simplistic view of the world is absolutely astounding – (I wonder how you vote?) If you need to be told how to think go ahead but most people accept there are usually several points of view on any topic. I challenge you to reply without insulting the intelligence of the fans who are passionate about the Iron and are gutted as to how we have been allowed to become the current laughing stock we are. People have every right (even you) to decide how best to send the current owner a message, whether it be to spend their hard earned cash or not…

If you were selling a house would you:-
    1. Let it become dilapidated and still hope to sell
    2. Spend a few quid to smarten it up and make it more appealing to potential buyers
    3. Realise that it needs to be made more attractive but expect the neighbours to pay for it.

Doesn’t that balance sheet just show Coolsilk have £29m less equity than last year not that they are £29m in the red?

CT, I think it’s more akin to a divorce. Why would the party leaving spend money on the house so they can live comfortably with a new partner?

I think you’ll find it was Brottoniron. Check your facts, ‘do your research’ etc. And less of the hyperbole please. The fans aren’t the ones ‘starving’ the club of finances, and I haven’t seen one comment about not attending helping the club. People are attending less because they’ve had enough, they don’t think for a second that it will help the club.

It’s all very well giving the fans two choices (nice bit of line-baiting in the OP BTW) but isn’t this all a bit too late?

The damage has been done and even a record uptake of STs won’t repair it.

Swann has had choices too, and seemingly made the wrong one each time.
