I don’t know who true this is, but, somebody on twitter said he’d gone back to Germany for some reason or another.

That would make sense I suppose, seeing as though he’s not featured. The club need to come out and tell people what the feck is going on.

Club signs a player who people want to see in action, he seemingly disappears off the face of the earth and nobody at the club even explains where he’s at.

Beestin has disappeared along with Turan. I know one player tested positive but feck me, what about the others ?

So you are having a go at the club when you don’t even know if Turan has gone back to Germany?

Do you expect a report on every single squad member whenever they do something?

God knows what you’ll be like when the season proper starts.

Ironironiron, I would just like to know where certain players are and what they’re doing. When you sign a new player and he’s not featured, that’s up to the club to tell the fans what’s going on…is it not ?

Is it too much to expect a club to communicate with it’s fans ?

You may not care because you have Grimsby Town to fall back on as your 2nd team but I don’t have that luxury.

I’d rather not go down that sordid road.

    Your avatar would suggest otherwise!

I’ve always had a soft spot for Barwick. Definitely not a Cod Fan.

I would say easily the worst midfielder we’ve had in my lifetime.

Big shout. Can you not remember Mark Gavin? Or Jimmy Walker? Barwick wasn’t great but there’s some stiff competition for worst midfielder.

” Barwick wasn’t great but there’s some stiff competition for worst midfielder.”

Not great? He wasn’t even moderate! There might be stiff competition but Barwick still wins. The ones you mention, and others, might have been poor, indeed poor enough to have been forgotten, but not memorably poor as Terry was.

I used to like Burny’s old avatar on the old forum, for a long while I thought he was a girl.

Take your point Tash but I still think Barwick gets more stick than he was due. He took that goal in the thrashing of Huddersfield beautifully!

I was going to say Mark Gavin was before my time but I checked and he wasn’t. But it was my first proper season when I was only 10 or so and I have no memory of him at all.

Do you mean Justin Walker? I remember him he was awful. Thought he was David Beckham and used to come off spotless even though we played in white at the time.
I googled Jimmy Walker the only one that comes up is a keeper?

NO! Justin Walker used to often reach the dizzy heights of mediocrity.

Justin Walker was quite a good player, at times, though nothing like as good as he thought he was. Watching the re-run of the 1999 Wembley final, I was surprised just how much work he got through, he was more of a ball winner than a passer in that game at least.

The Walker I was trying to remember was a player under Knill who ended up at Gateshead I think. Turns out his name is Josh Walker, my mistake.

I think Mark Gavin was let go after a driving ban – can’t remember if it was for drink-driving or something else but it was enough to send him on his way.

I know, which is why I’ve always favoured a picture of him…he’s the midfield equivalent of Tomi Ameobi.

Jesus even I think that’s a bit harsh. Berwick could kick the ball and stay on his feet at least.
