A trinity of ex Scunny players saw Gainsborough victorious at Darlington today. Howe & Butroid scoring the goals
Darlo 1-2 Trinity
Trinity are just one game away from the first round proper.

Lad should have been given a yellow not a red card.
Oh well.

No, I was gobsmacked by the sending off, which appears to have happened after the 4 added minutes of injury time and then they go and score in the 96th minute.
Wilcox & his merry men seem to have been properly robbed.
I hope they get the luck on Tuesday evening!
Refs at our level really are a shambolic bunch!October 12, 2024 at 5:55 pm #291906Ashley Jackson
Hence why it’s a MINIMUM of four minutes

Hence why it’s a MINIMUM of four minutes
Far too arbitrary.
We should take note of the American Football model… so much more professional than the shambolic administration that runs the old boys network in UK football.
2 / 3 minutes of added time above the official ‘minimum’ 4 minutes of injury / substitution / stoppage time today equated to 50% / 75% of additional time.
How can that percentage be so high?
On a 90 minute game – that equates to an additional 45 minutes / 75 minutes of additional time!
Either one tolerance level is way too low – or the other way too high!
There’s no consistency – it’s comical and highlights an incompetence level within the game!
October 12, 2024 at 10:17 pm #291911Did the young lad on dual registration get a run out, if so, how did he do ?

Briathwaite …. Tes he did WGs he was the lad who got sent off in added time thus causing such refereeing angst with Rene and his lost winnings.
October 13, 2024 at 8:41 am #291920Good luck Tuesday night Russ.

October 15, 2024 at 11:43 am #291946This thread is a great example of why betting should be banned.
October 15, 2024 at 11:49 am #291947Why? It’s not compulsory, lots of people bet responsibly and enjoy it.
October 15, 2024 at 12:32 pm #291948Wouldn’t advocate banning it but regulated advertising is really needed. Have you met gambling addicts? It can seriously ruin lives. Massive problem with younger males hooked in by initial free bets.
October 15, 2024 at 4:47 pm #291950Why? It’s not compulsory, lots of people bet responsibly and enjoy it.
Not for any moral reasons but just because:
a) Other people’s bets are as interesting as other people’s dreams and other people’s kids
and b) It leads to really awful, abusive online behaviour. Just look at Rene’s words about the ref. Often the racial abuse of players you read about after missed penalties, own goals etc. is from people complaining about the bets being ‘ruined’.
Oh and c) it ruins lives. Maybe that is a moral reason.

Happy to pay more in tax to make up the government shortfall?
Choices.October 15, 2024 at 8:20 pm #291952Bloody hell… I forgot that the reply is tonight.
Best tune in for a listen.
