    We should run all our railways like the Japanese and Germans do, we have learned nothing over the years when it comes to running public transport efficiently.

    Mrs NI has gone into Newcastle to meet our daughter. Usually she gets the train (either TP or XC) from Hexham. Not running today so got the bus. Turned up for the express service to find they’ve stopped running it on a Saturday. Had to get the normal service that stops at every lamppost on the 22 mile journey taking 85 minutes instead of 35!

    Really encourages you to use public transport doesn’t it?
