He said we wouldn’t be relegated from League 1, his offspring even proclaimed fans were morons for suggesting the likelihood.
Don’t expect anything to change this January, we’re going down.
January 8, 2022 at 6:34 pm #220913BS I don’t agree Rowe was a 6 – he was absolute garbage – considering his task is to sit in front of back 4 they had so much space and their 3rd goal – the lad cannot run at all – weak, ineffective, played out of position like most of the squad just not league standard. I feel for the young lads having to save the club from Swanns pathetic recruitment. The guy and his silver spoon sons are killing 70 years of league football

January 8, 2022 at 10:33 pm #220930At least you were looking on the bright side. We are even worse than you think!
Not possible.
I’m not even sure we could beat poor old Dover Athletic at the moment.January 8, 2022 at 11:14 pm #220932BS I don’t agree Rowe was a 6 – he was absolute garbage – considering his task is to sit in front of back 4 they had so much space and their 3rd goal – the lad cannot run at all – weak, ineffective, played out of position like most of the squad just not league standard. I agree with what you say Ironawe, a 4 or 5 would have been more accurate, but when you say that he is playing out of position mate, all eleven of them are, simply because they are non-league standard players who are heading that way with Scunny, and should not be playing in a Football League team, I an now going to watch a couple of hours of eleben more wankers playing in Australia, thats if they manage to bat that long.
January 9, 2022 at 1:01 am #220934You say that Barton but he’s supposed to be a right back/right wing back so he is playing out of position. I thought he was looking good there but today goes to show against a good side at this level, he’s positionally all over the place.
Rowe doesn’t fully understand that position, which is understandable as he hasn’t played many games there.
Green despite looking good at RB again showed today he shouldn’t be playing there. Positionally all over the place and doesn’t really understand the position.
I think it’s time now Kenyon comes back in, Beestin is in for Pugh and Millen is back at RB. At least Kenyon and Millen are naturals in those positions and I’d say Beestin is the best CM player we’ve got, if he’s fit enough for the bench then he should be starting.
Not criticised Hill at all, as I think with what he’s got he’s done really well up to now but today was a complete mess.
Next match considering we have no more strikers in, I’d go with this…
Watson
O’Malley
Manny
Taft
MillenKenyon
Hackney
Beestin
HippolyteJarvis “only striker we have who’s even capable of holding the ball up”
BurnsManny is definitely back next match. Kenyon needs to be starting as DCM is an especially important position on the pitch as he protects the back 4 and he has the experience. Beestin needs to be starting as he’s simply better than Pugh. Millen’s at least a natural RB.
I hope this was blip for Hill with this odd team selection today. I can understand he has limited quality options but at least play your best players on the day, we may have still got battered but least give ourselves more of a chance.
January 9, 2022 at 11:05 am #220954The problem with that WG is Hill. In a recent interview his only concern was with players that will run the most. No mention of ability, awareness and experience etc. Based on this he will always go:-
Green before Millen
Pugh before Beestin
Rowe before Kenyon
Anybody before Perry
He seems keen on runners to the exclusion of any other qualities that I am now seriously concerned for the rest of the season.
I much prefer your idea of players that can play (in the right position) and can use their brain as well as their legs. Let’s hope Hill sees the light.January 9, 2022 at 11:47 am #220959It’s a bit half and half. Hill made it a priority, which I understand, to improve the fitness of the players who, under Cox, were knackered after 30 minutes.
I would agree that Kenyon and Beestin should be in the team, but is Hill leaving them out because he thinks they haven’t responded to his training methods?
He has praised Pugh for his efforts, but he definitely could do with a spell out the team.
Millen should never have been signed along with a lot of the others. Green is not good enough in any position. We need a right back!!!

Could well be Heath, Hill’s made no secret that his philosophy is ‘if they’re not fit, they don’t play’.
Given the last 2 games, I agree, these two should start v Exeter.January 9, 2022 at 8:16 pm #221020I thought Millen was doing pretty well personally, he was a bit lax defensively at times but had enough to get by and he was good going forward and had a more than decent delivery on him into the box.
Beestin should be in for Pugh…much better player, it’s not even close. Kenyon we need for the experience and he at least understands that position in front of the back 4.
