Spoil the performance
It certainly did today, Kelly apart they didn’t positively impact the game. We had control of the game and what momentum was building went completely when Whitehall was replaced. If he was subbbed with a view towards saving energy for Monday’s game then let’s hope that’s a lesson learned for Butler – win the game in front of you then deal with the next one as it comes. I’d have taken 10 points from 12 at the start of the season though so all in all pretty content so far
The UK has 10 submarines… apparently.
Agreed, far too many substitutes these days.
At this level it should be a max of 3 from 5.
Agree that 5 subs is really impacting the game, usually for the negative, but Whitehall was knackered today and had to go off.
What spoilt the game was 3(actually 5), 5 (actually 3), 2 (actual zero)!!!
If we had the squad we thought we had (or should have), 5 subs should be a big advantage and give us an edge over teams with smaller budgets (i.e everyone) and smaller squads. However our subs have consistently failed to make an impact and our recruitment this summer has been a major flop so what we actually have is a bench full of new recruits who when given an opportunity look like rabbits in headlights that are scared to make a mistake rather than do anything impactful.
