It seems that the new players are getting fitter, the first half against Swindon was even enough. I’m hoping that the team will strip fitter soon, but am afraid it will be too late.
If we get three points against Rochdale on Saturday, will there still be a chance of survival?
Should we continue to hope and pray until it is mathematically impossible?

I’m planning for next season in NL.February 15, 2022 at 9:17 am #232034What’s to plan if you don’t attend any matches.
February 15, 2022 at 9:22 am #232035Why is that your business?
February 15, 2022 at 9:46 am #232040February 15, 2022 at 9:55 am #232042Just interested that’s all Alcy, will you need to rearrange the toys in your pram? For NL.

February 15, 2022 at 12:01 pm #232047On the plus side I can confirm the boys do know where the net is, I’ve just seen em score a goal in training, very voiceiferous this morning. Been down for my cheapy tickets for the next 2 games , glutton for punishment me.

February 15, 2022 at 12:27 pm #232048February 15, 2022 at 3:04 pm #232051I wish them the best of luck as always but we’re doomed. Have been for a while – ask any neutral to look at the table and pick two for relegation – some may stray away from Oldham but nobody would not pick us. Mathematically we’re some way away from it however I predict grass roots day as the match relegation is confirmed – sets the young ones up nicely for a life of supporting SUFC

February 15, 2022 at 3:57 pm #232053Pretty much a guaranteed win against Rochdale this weekend. If Hill is that much better than Cox (one poster has alluded to him as our best manager since Adkins!) and now also has a better squad to choose from then we should easily better the 0-0 we got at their place earlier in the season.
Or are we perhaps still just a really, really shit football team!?

The Netherlands?
February 15, 2022 at 5:34 pm #232055North Lincolnshire I think.
February 15, 2022 at 5:54 pm #232057I think it’s all over bar the shouting and we are going down, due to the lack of activity on this board over the last couple of weeks I think most posters do as well – even the Bru team seem to havee stopped the podcast.
February 15, 2022 at 5:58 pm #232058Well they haven’t done one since yesterday that’s true.
February 15, 2022 at 6:10 pm #232060You never see a poor bookie and they have got us at 1/12 ON for relegation. I’m surprised it’s not even shorter odds!

Numbnuts Land?, oops sorry he’s living there already.
February 16, 2022 at 1:09 am #232069I’m not even convinced Alcazar is even a fan anyway. I’m not entirely sure what he’s up to but I’ve never seen him say an anything positive regarding The Iron.
Saying Alcazar’s glass is half empty is not doing him justice. The way he carries on you would be lucky to find just the one drop.
Tells you all you need to know when we all know really we’re probably already down but choose to see the positives as it’s the only thing to cling on to. Alcazar’s grudge against Swannster over takes that and he can’t even bring himself to get behind the club.
Just out of interest, have you ever turned up to a game and watched us live before or bought club merchandise, shirt e.t.c ?
February 16, 2022 at 7:14 am #232070You can all say what you like about Alcy, but he was one of the very few of us that outed Swann from the start, we called from the 1st day the new ground wouldn’t happen and not only has that been proved right, absolutely NOTHING either on the pitch or off the pitch has improved under Swanns tenure. We listened to the Gainsborough fans warnings about this man while others said it was sour grapes, yet here we are staring non league football full in the face in a dilapidated dump of a football stadium.
Give us something positive to say and we will say it!

February 16, 2022 at 8:40 am #232073Ignoring WG’s way off the mark comments about Alcy, I don’t think supporters still paying to attend matches appreciate ‘I told you so’ comments right now. None of us have anything to gain from pointing out how early in the owner’s tenure we detected serious issues. The here and now is more important and some fans want to discuss on field matters rather than looking back. I believe that’s what this thread is about?

Untrue. He predicted us to win on Saturday. :-)
