In a recent thread I mentioned that I suspected that, pretty soon, some supporters would try telling us that Swann/the club did all they could to keep us up.

Last night I listened to the latest podcast.
Sure enough, BOTH participants said so within the opening ten minutes😠

I had to switch it off before it actually made me vomit.

Some supporters really do deserve what’s coming.

Not listened to the podcast yet but anyone that believes Mr Swann has done everything he could to keep us in the league is being delusional.

Time to honour one of many promises we have heard over the last 8 years or so – and the only promise that now has any relevance. When I leave the club I will leave it debt free.

Let’s be fair on Brad and Matt Alcy, at no point did either say ‘Swann/the club did all they could to keep us up.’ The early part of the discussion was around some good business done in the Jan window, Hill being allowed to get in better players, but acknowledging it was all too little too late. I thought it was a fair and balanced take on the pitch side position. The root of the problems that have got the club to this desperate point have been covered umpteen times over the last few years and that clearly wasn’t the focus of this particular podcast.

I’m going to have a vet on The Iron to beat Rochdale on Saturday. Out of all the clubs that are not local derbies, they are the ones I hate losing to the most.

If we do win it will be because of Hill and in spite of Swann.

Let’s see how fit he has got our newcomers.

I thought the gents on the podcast were quite generous in their assessment of a transfer window which saw us sign a bunch of unfit, out-of-favour players at the last moment who have, so far, not made much of a positive impact on the pitch.
