It will be at 4pm today.
No it won’t, it will be at 5pm.
We were joking, it will be some time after 6pm.
Meanwhile the BBC have told us what the lockdown measures are as they have been leaked.
I tell you what Johnson, as far as I’m concerned you can stuff your briefing up your arse. If you can’t be bothered or are so out of control that you can’t turn up on time then stuff you.
I bet Churchill was never late for something as important as speaking to the nation. As long as Steve bloody Baker has been briefed!!October 31, 2020 at 5:57 pm #196817Iron AgeParticipantOffline

Fitting that the announcement should be late like everything else the government have done since March.
The cheek of the man so say “this is why we must act now!” When SAGE were telling him to act in mid-September.
Bloody muppet.October 31, 2020 at 10:12 pm #196826
But we are not acting now. It will keep until Thursday.November 1, 2020 at 12:39 am #196827Deereyme66ParticipantOffline

As you guys know, I am a Tory voter, but the way that they have and are handling everything right now, makes me shudder to think what is coming next. What with the exams fiaco a few months ago, and the presently reversal of their rulles that seem to change every other day, does anyone actually know what most of the rules are, because I certainly bloody don’t.
I now live at home by myself since February, my sons and daughter visit me regularly and am surthat they will continue to do so, being nearly 80 years of age, it is very lonely by yourself, and although I stick with the mask wearing, spacing and the rules in general, I see no point in living like a recluse in my house, and will continue seeing my daughter and three sons whenever I can, even though I do not fully know what rules are in place from Thursday. Surely if 350 can arrive in a plane at Heathrow who have travalled 8,000 miles breathing the same circulating air, it must be ok to let my family visit me.November 2, 2020 at 9:41 am #196842Iron-aweParticipantOffline

As an elderly person who is probably in your case classed as vulnerable you are allowed family members to help with getting shopping and you will have some family members who will still be eligible to see you as they will be part of your bubble. I would say this doesn’t include four separate family members who should have their own bubbles in place but certainly some of them will be able to see you. On the other hand you could say bollocks
and do as you please like quite a few appear to do and at your age I probably wouldn’t blame you if you did.November 2, 2020 at 1:41 pm #196855
Yes Iron-awe, it is not easy knowing what the hell to do, but what do you suggest I do when my sons or daughter all come visiting and also bring gandkids, do I say go away???. I stick to the rules that they keep bringing out and changing daily, and as you say mate, a lot are not doing so, but these rules change daily, which suggests to me that the old rules that the new one’s are replacing were obviously the wrong one’s.
Your helpful description of the bubble system will probably have changed again today, you never know.
I am very sorry to say, but I did predict on this forum that this bloody virus would go on and on well into 2021, and that there could easily be 4 million unemployed, a few questioned that, but I am sorry to say but it could easily come true.
Anyway, we must keep plodding on and keep one step in front of this bloody virus, and just hope that Scunny can pick up a few bloody wins, I do not like the way things are heading with the team.November 2, 2020 at 2:46 pm #196859Iron-aweParticipantOffline

There are certainly a few more dramatic headlines on the horizon BS with Covid increasing and the USA heading towards anarchy, best do what’s right for you and yours, as for your family do you ever discuss when they should come and see you or do you just let things happen? Do they listen to you or do they just ignore you and then turn up willy nilly?, either way if they give you Covid at your age chances are you will die but they wont, maybe your past caring and we all have to die sometime.November 2, 2020 at 11:00 pm #196888
Yes pal, they just turn up when they feel like it, I suppose many families are likethat, but it is placing pressure on me, but they seem to just think that I am one of them, and not a risk. But as you point out, there is a big risk at my age, and yes I would like a few more years yet, maybe three, but cannot grumble really and after watching Scunny for 68 years, I have still faiied to top myself ha ha!, or jump off the Bridge.
I tend to just jump in my car and have a longish drive a couple of times a week, it gets me out of the house, and omits mixing closely to people, I will continue with this activity for now mate.November 3, 2020 at 11:00 am #196898
Genuinely hope you stick around longer than 3 years. We need people like you to admit the error of your ways and vote out this hopeless Government!
Hope you get the chance to see the Iron soon, thought that is an unlikely prospect for this season. Just hope the club survives beyond then.November 3, 2020 at 11:02 pm #196915
I just had a look at the wague two table, and we are 12 points or more behind the top 14 teams, I know we have either 2 or 3 games in hand of most of them, but with one win in eight ;eague matches, games in hand aee only any use if we are capable of getting points from them.
I think thatyou only want me to stick around Heath so that you still have someone to have a go at ha ha!, we will see what we can do to meet your request pal!!!November 3, 2020 at 11:18 pm #196918NorthumbironParticipantOffline

A nice bit of Japanese steak? 🥩
I wouldn’t be looking at the top half of the table if I were you. The important stat is that we’re not bottom despite missing three games. Southend’s -20 gd after a quarter of the season makes our defence look good!
Mansfield and Southend still not won yet. Stevenage only won one. Get some backbone in the team and we could reach the dizzy heights of 15th which will do me!November 4, 2020 at 11:14 pm #196950
Northumbiron——What do you think mate coming from Northumbria, is it better to be not too clever at spelling English, or not being able to speak proper English. I will stick with being able to speak it, and continue to ask an interpritor what you guys have said ha ha!
