My twopennethworh for all it matters! No true Scunthorpe fan wants the club to go under but after the Swann years do we really want to accept absolutely ANYONE as a new owner without question? The mess Mr Swann left us in I think has made some people desperate for any way out. The cub almost died 2 years ago now and is still in its death throws – I am seriously asking – is it worth the agony? I started my support in the very early 1970’s when times were bad but never as dire as today. DH maybe has a good heart but clearly is struggling under the pressure and I don’t believe either canonising or criticising him is helping him through what clearly is a difficult time I have no strong desire or him to either stay or go but trying to revive a dying club is not worth the fallout – particularly the huge divisions between fans we now have

    Poor choice or NO choice?
Poor sounds very attractive to me at this point.

DH needs to just stay away from social media, it helps neither his outlook mor his well being. These algorithms are designed to do just that. I wish him no harm, he’s not ideal but neither is the alternative. Catch-22, we’ll just have to watch rugby, cricket, or do some gardening on Saturdays and remember the good old days. At least the bru boys will save some money on hosting this website.

If this was all playing out in the early 70s things would be very different.

No social media, mobile phones or the internet. Not even Ceefax! Just the Evening Telegraph and the bloke down the pub. And those of us living out of town wouldn’t even have had that!

No one would have known it was all over until the fat lady was on her second chorus!

Having fans think of Dave as a poor choice would be something, and I can’t think of how it can be any other way since Monday. However, so many have been jumping on the bandwagon and blasting anyone as club killers for not thinking he’s anything but crap.
