For Jimmy to head back to Peterborough.
March 5, 2024 at 8:47 pm #282065And Chorley lead 2-1 at Bishop Stortford.
March 5, 2024 at 8:58 pm #282068The players have a lot to answer for as well. Weve been weak in front of goal for months now. The wheels came off at Christmas.

March 5, 2024 at 9:14 pm #282077Also doesn’t help that the players have effectively been told they’re getting a pay cut at the end of the season regardless of what division we’re in. Hardly going to inspire you is it!

March 5, 2024 at 9:14 pm #282078It’s all through the team tonight, lots of possession doesn’t win anything but having efforts at goal does and we not having any
March 5, 2024 at 9:18 pm #282079Not buying this coming pay cut excuse, if it wasn’t for Michelle and her new board and the seventy thousand plus grand given by football fans from all over the country including our own towns people these players would have been on the dole months ago. They are professional footballers playing part time footballers, they should be ashamed of themselves.

March 5, 2024 at 9:19 pm #282080Defending has been abysmal too, including the keeper. Kouogan needs to come back in for Boyce (which as I type this will be enforced as he’s just gone and gotten himself sent off).
What an utterly embarrassing night!!

March 5, 2024 at 9:33 pm #282089The time came a long time ago!!
We can’t afford to sack him, but we can send him on gardening leave until end of season (and should have done so a good while back).
Anybody could do a better job.

March 5, 2024 at 9:35 pm #282091Let’s look on the bright side. The kit doesn’t need washing.
March 5, 2024 at 9:36 pm #282092And nobody needs a shower, nobody has got a sweat on
March 5, 2024 at 9:41 pm #282093Utter shite ! I apologise unreservedly for wasting anybody’s time reading any deluded garbage from me thinking this team was any good. Beyond embarrassing performance.

March 5, 2024 at 9:53 pm #282097What shirt did we play in away or third kit.
March 5, 2024 at 9:57 pm #282098I feel sorry for Michelle and the board, doing all they can to ensure the club survives, whilst the team and the Manager put in a peformance like that!!
Not sure if we have options to bring in a new manager at this stage?
But more importantly can we get a striker in on loan before its to late – or does are budget prohibit that.
All of a sudden the play offs no longer seem certain – or am I panicking to soon?

March 5, 2024 at 10:01 pm #282101He’s got to go now and take Whitehall who clearly doesn’t want to be here with him.
Really can’t see how we can change this without Jimmy leaving new players in to do what sit at home more wasted money.
Only the players and manager know what is really going on the disrespect they are showing the supporters and owners is incredible
Going to be a tough few weeks hopefully we scrape in to playoffs and earn a few extra quid right now can’t see us winning them though more than happy to be proved wrongMarch 5, 2024 at 10:12 pm #282103The time has come,’ the Walrus said,

March 5, 2024 at 10:18 pm #282104No sympathy tonight; to set up how we did, especially after the last 20 at Chester is criminal.

March 5, 2024 at 10:21 pm #282106Time for Michelle to call all the players and coaching team in one by one and ask what the f is going on because something is behind the scenes, im sure we would have been called in where i worked if we had put in performances like they have.

March 6, 2024 at 1:12 am #282109Even though we’ve come along in saving the club from extinction, it still needs repairing somewhat. Look, we’ve all known for ages that we need a striker through the door, but when 3 players were announced 1 was a good choice in McAlinden and the other two were dreadful.
We brought in another CM who is a mile off from being match fit and a young attacking player who played 17 games for Farsley without scoring ?. Whoever is behind the scenes making these decisions needs a good talking to.
I’d rather we signed only signed two players with McAlinden and a fit striker coming through the door. Scales, Butterfield, Clunan, Pugh , Beestin with Shrimpton out getting match fitness.
Where does an unfit Clarke fit in to it all ?. I don’t think he’s played any meaningful football in about 6 months. Is Youmbi better than Sembie Ferris, Wilson, Elliot, Whitehall, Law “when he’s fit in two weeks time and Roberts in about a months time ?
The young kid can’t even make the bench which just goes to show he was pointless signing.
Now, let’s move on to Dean and this supposed “Jimmy Ball” bull shit. The bloke needs binning off and quick. No tactical nous whatsoever and is nowhere near good enough to manager a club like this.
Get Michael Nelson in and have Butler work alongside him and see where it takes us. Hardly ideal to sack him and pay him up but he’s out of contract soon anyway so can’t see that costing a great deal.
Send Clarke and Youmbi back and put that money towards it. This needs ending and it needs ending now.
March 6, 2024 at 1:23 am #282113Also doesn’t help that the players have effectively been told they’re getting a pay cut at the end of the season regardless of what division we’re in. Hardly going to inspire you is it!
What do they expect the board to do ? The club is more important than them.
They should be inspired, who is going to be interested in offering them future employment with this attitude. If they don’t want to be here tell the board now and let them go.

Call a board meeting with all staff … get to the route cause of this disaster and as posted above get rid of those not committed and dont wanna be here…if left much longer the issues will just fester and cause more division.
March 6, 2024 at 7:25 am #282122I said last April that this would all end in a car crash and here we find ourselves.
Take Saturday out of reckoning and we can see that performances have been poor since Farsley Celtic. Last night’s performance (if you can call it that) is unacceptable and for me and given we have been poor since the new year, this is the straw that breaks the camel’s back. I listened to the post match interview, and it is clear that JD is out of his depth and does not know how to turn this poor form around. Oliver Turner asked some good questions, with JD admitting he chose the wrong team and has no answers.
Let us be clear; IMO this squad *is* the best squad in the whole NLN and we are one of the very few teams who are full-time in the division. With any competent manager at the helm we would be champions. I would take second place and promotion via the play-offs however, I suspect that unless JD suddenly becomes a managerial genius we will limp into the play-offs, get knocked out, and be doomed to spend another season in this god-awful league!
Someone please call a taxi for JD, it’s time for him to go.

March 6, 2024 at 8:27 am #282128One of Dean’s mates has published a lengthy post on the Facebook group backing his pal and asking Iron fans to stick with him and be grateful (not exactly but the intention is there). Then Q&As with them. It’s a hangover from the Hilton era. Fail miserably and your friends family and relatives take to social media to back you. Ffs.
March 6, 2024 at 8:46 am #282133If he’s any respect he’ll be telling his mate to stop posting supportive rubbish. Amateur hour!
March 6, 2024 at 11:24 am #282159Expect Scunthorpe to make a decision on Jimmy Dean's future this week, with a new man potentially in place ahead of the weekend. Think everyone can see that change is needed now. #UTI https://t.co/WuhGSK7wuU

March 6, 2024 at 11:56 am #282161Its the players who should be ashamed of themselves wage thieves, i feel ashamed that some of the money i donated went to pay their wages.
March 6, 2024 at 12:21 pm #282168This always happens towards the end of a manager’s usefulness (in terms of the players). Look at Darlington early in the season to now

March 6, 2024 at 12:43 pm #282172What we have is incompatible.
Jimmy is full of enthusiasm but lacks sufficient ability.
The players have the ability but don’t share Jimmys enthusiasm.
Impasse.March 6, 2024 at 1:02 pm #282175Whensday – day off
Turgiday – “boys trained well”
Fakeday – “we’ve analysed them, done our match prep and the lads are up for it”
Shatday – “horrible little ground, bobbly, bumpy pitch, ball didn’t bounce for us, we were unlucky, they were lucky, we didn’t get the rub of the green, referee was awful, linesman was flagging like a navy flight deck technician but the referee didn’t see it, 13th time lucky for them, we were abducted by aliens, I want to believe… we go again next week!”Arrrghhhh!
