Final L2 table:
24. Scunthorpe United – 30pts (-50GD)
They are 10 points adrift of safety with nine to play and given no chance of survival. Supercomputer’s latest prediction gives Scunthorpe a 99 per cent chance of playing National League football next season.
I bet you never realised you had the brain of a supercomputer did you?
Oldham to join us btw.
An Oldham fan I know was merrily gloating a few weeks ago about how they’ve improved – smirking about how bad we are. Schadenfreude will be mine!!!
Me and an Oldham fan I know agreed we were both nailed on for the National League back in early October.
Our only disagreement was which of us would finish bottom. Sadly I was correct.
Bookies technically relegated us after the Salford game on Saturday 19th March 2022.
Bookies don’t offer odds on certainties.
Scunthorpe to be relegated are no longer on their books.
The fat lady has sung and is now doing karaoke in Benidorm!
I originally had us to be officially relegated at Easter based on being 12-15 points behind but I now wonder whether it might come as early as the Mansfield game. I never expected us to apparently just give up so early. 2 points from the last 24 on offer, 5 from the last 48. Pathetic.

Amazing things those Sinclair ZX81’s !
Based on the previous seasons crap , Swan letting all the players go )due to covid) and Cox at the wheel i had us nailed on for the drop before a ball was kicked and had a small wager on it .. sad to say it will be paying out and a few mates n i will drink the winnings at a small wake we have planned .. back then i was of the opinion Stevenage Sutton and Barrow would also be in the relegation mix (not Oldham)..Sutton have surprised me.
It was very sadly as predictable as the stink of fish in Grimesby this was on the cards…
I also stated prior to the start of the season, that with Cox still our so called manager, that I would not renew my long term season ticket, and would possibly only attend an odd match or two, well that match will be our final Football League game at home to Hartlepool, I am sorry for it to have come true, but like Alkazar also stated that relegation would also hit us with Swann no longer interested in our club, he kept Cox on to make sure that we went down.
Only thing that I do not agree with is that I feel it will be Stevenage that goes down with us, and not Oldham.
Don’t agree that he kept Cox on ‘to make sure we went down’. Basically because there’s no evidence for it. However, evidence of sheer incompetence in many aspects of club matters over many years is rife. A huge catalogue of errors.
Never going to get Six points in the final seven games.
