Correct. Butterfield needs a rest any way. Pugh will probably be more suited away from home so not too bothered and it gives Butterfield’s legs a rest.

Literally just had the best part of a month off.

Looking forward to finding out what Clunan does, because I’ve seen him a few times and I still can’t work it out.

If only Pugh could pass like Butterfield. Still he’ll run around more and get booked to show he’s putting in 100%.

So will our tactics be determined by what they do ? Listening to Jd’s pre-match yesterday I fear so.

Need to be giving it 100% attacking from 1st minute and eliminate the Chuckle Bros. type football. He says these are must win games but not sure that message is in his pre-match, but they are they keep the home gates up and generate the revenue that will go towards helping getting rid of the embargo. We can’t even sign free agents on zero wages it is that draconian.

Tuesday night in February, wind blowing and rain pouring down a scrappy 1-0 win would be fine. Unfortunately some want a stylish 3-0 with the other team barely able to enter our half. If we actually lose tonight there’s going to be dummies spat out and teddies exiting prams.

How the hell was that perfectly legitimate goal given offside!? Just watched it back on the stream and there is absolutely zero reason for that being given. Robbed!

They look as poor as each other.
If it carries on in the same groove in the second half then it’s gunna end up a no score draw.

One of their commentators keeps calling Ogle… Ohgal

I hope he’s throwing tea cups, kettles, toasters, George Foreman grills and kicking boots flying across the dressing room during his half time team talk!

    Form last ten games:

    P10 W4 D2 L4 GF16 GA18 Pts 14

3 months ago, I’d have gone for a 0-2 win.

However, they’ll score a goal, so, can we score two?
How we are playing, I’m not sure.

    I’ll have to go 1-1.

    Head: 1-1
    Heart: 1-2
    Gut: 1-0

    OMG!

    Awful game to watch.

Well done Tamworth the league is definitely all yours.
The way this shower is playing we will barely limp into the play offs.

Was that an actual professional team?

Just watched a bang average game and yet again very few shots on goal. We are a shambles. To lose that game is pooor tactically and unforgivable. Tamworth must be laughing their socks off. Jimmy needs to get a grip before another season in National League North because on tonights showing we ainr going nowhere soon.

Will someone explain to me why, at corners, we don’t have a player 10 yards beyond the far post racing in towards the post to create havoc. Cassidy, Percy Freeman – even Alick Jeffrey did that on occasion. Think – Ernie Moss and Chris Chilton.
Apologies to those who haven’t a clue who I’m talking about.

Thought we played ok (Elliott, Scales and Clunan imptessive) and if we had won 1 mil would be very happy. To let in a goal that late with their only proper shot which should have been easily saved on top of a bizarre disallowed goal and possible Wilson penalty is a catalogue of bad luck.

That’s the title hopes gone. Play offs it is now.

Blyth were shite and there was no reason not to start with a 442 formation from the off. Twice now we’ve switched to two strikers and twice Elliot has scored shortly after….coincidence ?

As we’ve all said before Elliot if played with Whitehall would be on 20+ by now.

Anyway, back to the game. What was Dean thinking consolidating against Blyth and shutting up shop ?. In my opinion we should have kept going forward, not back !

Wilson and Fitzy both messing up but even then we should have been out of sight. Too negative again from Dean and I would have kept Pugh on and subbed Clunan personally.

It wasn’t luck, good or bad. Blyth were there for the taking and we underperformed yet again.

Scunny Tim. Youre having a laugh. If you think that we were just unlucky why didnt we take a grip of the game. Yes Blyth sat deep and were looking for a 0-0. But we didnt do nothing to break them down. For gods sake we were playing Blyth Spartans. Dont you expect more from your team, because I do. As for the substitutions. Once again Jimmy got it wrong. We can whinge about the disallowed goal but if we have hopes of promotion you gotta ask yourself. Was this promotion form ? We were piss poor at best.
