They are not very good so going for a 0-1 tonight.

Five or six at the back to try and Wilcox a point. Go all out attack for the last 5 minutes once Apter, Nuttall and Beeston have been subbed for defenders.

2-0 clean sheet and three precious points can feel it in my water. Or maybe just a urine infection 😀

Hope you are right and not just taking the piss.

I know its early for doom and gloom but if we don’t win 2 or 3 games before January the we are well and truly trussed.

    This looks the easiest opportunity.

    Scunthorpe 1 Gateshead 2

At least with this score Scunny will have had a shot on target!!!!, or maybe an OG.

Fair enough to the management team – looking like they are giving 4-4-2 a go.

    What could possibly go wrong?

Plenty of room for social distancing at Glanford Park tonight.

They stuck with 5 at the back. Wallace at wing back who tried hard but struggled not surprisingly.

The Heed were decent in midfield but shite upfront so we got away with it.

Got bullied and out fought for 30 minutes but credit to the team they stepped up physically and made a game of it.

The handball for the first penalty looked a foot outside the box from my angle but who cares.

Scruffy, bitty win but the team deserved it.

Can we just stop handing every team a freebie at the start?

Massive 3 points featuring 2 poor teams. Players need to take some confidence away from it and follow it with a win on Friday night.

Although from the rumour mill it sounds like our fate could be decided off the field rather than on it

I was told by someone last night who is known to everyone on here and we would love to be part of a consortium, that the current situation is a lot to do with the players performances especially the last two weeks, and that our owner is a very difficult person to deal with.

regarding last night it was like 2 Northern Premier League clubs slugging it out which in a non football way made it entertaining, we gifted them a goal, got a penalty which looked out of the area, but his hand may have been in the area.

with it being a must win game I don’t know why we put young Wallace in, thought it was a gamble and looked out of his depth at times but his good bit of play got us the corner that got us the second goal, and don’t say the players don’t care after the way they celebrated the goals.

big pluses last night where Dewhurst couldn’t be blamed for the goal, Ntlhe and O’Malley were class and nice to see Alfie put in a shift on his 100th appearance.

also, great to see the minutes applause for John Duncan, which the Gateshead fans applauded as well.

No money left in the kitty and nothing else will be invested by Swann, allegedly.

I don’t know how we are in this position because Swann stated we will be sustainable last year, therefore why is additional money needed regardless ?

I would think Swann wants to be completely clear of Scunthorpe, because he doesn’t get on well with the Council Leader does he.

He can build it, pocket the money and still live many miles away. Even whilst waiting for approval he can still live many miles away, sorry don’t get the logic, business is business and money is money and that’s all that counts for certain people IMO.

Big shout for Nuttall his goals finally earn us a win penalties or not, never thought he’d score 9 goals all season but credit to him, hope everyone will now get off his back for the outburst last season.

Is everyone on his back?, please provide evidence, is he still booed every game, I think not, the lad is doing well and it’s appreciated by the majority IMO. Leave it alone, nothing to see here.

He’s certainly a lot more preferable as our leading goal scorer then OG, never did rate him much.

Wow we really have some saddos watching the Iron these days or have they always been there. He made a gaff, apologised and now he is our leading goal scorer who turned down a move to stay with us. I know let’s slag him off over some bullshit from last season, wow some people eh.
