I haven’t date checked this, so sorry if it’s old news. But the thought of the Guardian having to apologise for publishing an anti semitic cartoon really tickled me.

April 29, 2023 at 6:52 pm #261287No, this is today. I am not surprised about this; The Guardian has form for anti-Semitism or apologia for such.

April 29, 2023 at 6:57 pm #261288Quite right too, completely unacceptable, at least they have apologised but it should never have gone to print in the first place. Just when eventually the correct decision by Sharp to resign is taken, the Guardian shoot themselves in the foot by being totally insensitive. Hope the bigger picture about jobs for cronies isn’t lost because of this.
April 29, 2023 at 8:03 pm #261299But the Guardian has a reputation for being right on and pc. How can such a liberal publication be anti semitic?
Beggars belief!!
April 29, 2023 at 8:05 pm #261301Smarter men than I have gone into detail as to why the left has an anti-Semitic blind spot.
April 29, 2023 at 8:09 pm #261302I get where you are coming from Siders, but I always thought there was a difference between the hard left and the liberal elitists. Also that the Guardian was of the second entity mentioned.
April 29, 2023 at 8:17 pm #261304‘Liberal elitists’ 🤣🤣🤣🤣
April 29, 2023 at 8:18 pm #261305Certainly lots of commonality between the hard left and hard right these days. Both exhibit extreme views, often intolerant.

April 29, 2023 at 8:25 pm #261307‘GB News – never apologise – never surrender!!!’
April 29, 2023 at 8:27 pm #261309It seems that the lines are drawn disproportionately. The likes of Corbyn, people who supported the Soviet Union and even the IRA, are red communists. Fair enough. But lately I have heard some commentators describe people like Nigel Farage as ‘White Nationalists.’ Trust me, they are not…
April 29, 2023 at 8:46 pm #261316Which commentators have said that? Personally I think he’s an opportunistic exploitative populist with a cringeworthy character.
April 29, 2023 at 8:59 pm #261317AFAIK Farage is an old school Tory, who left that party when Major signed the Maastricht Treaty. At least he stood by his own convictions.
I’d love to sink a few pints with Nige…
April 29, 2023 at 9:02 pm #261318I’d rather drink sewage water
April 29, 2023 at 9:09 pm #261320Yeah Southern beer, took a long time and a lot of practice for me to get used to it.
April 29, 2023 at 9:58 pm #261330For all those who talk about the left or the right and anti semitism you need to watch this series on iPlayer, believe me nobody comes out smelling of roses. Go on, I defy you.

I like Fullers range, particularly London Pride, bottled or draught. Shepherd Neame ales are excellent.
May 1, 2023 at 10:17 am #261414Been a while since I had Fullers, used to like ESB. I do like Harveys Best, which is brewed in Lewes and although it doesn’t travel very well, is local enough to where I live these days.
