March 6, 2022 at 8:46 am #233109That could have been a possibility but too many at Glanford Park have given up – on the field and on the sidelines !

March 6, 2022 at 9:31 am #233112Take comfort in your optimism but after witnessing the debacle at Sutton, it’s game over for me.
March 6, 2022 at 9:48 am #233114I’ll make my way to the cooler now, baseball mitt in hand 😂

March 6, 2022 at 10:26 am #233115It’s quite simple really, you don’t score means you don’t win games. That team does not have enough nearly enough firepower to score the goals we need to win games. 24 goals scored all season is beyond pathetic. Dominic Telford at Newport has scored as many goals as our whole team put together. Those brought in during January might be a slight improvement in some aspects but they have also proven they don’t have a goal between them. Absolute tosh.

Do or Die mentality!
Fight for our lives!
Fight for our existence! We CAN surely win three home games 1-0 ?
Possession, shots on / off target, performance is irrelevant.
Formations are irrelevant – just be better, run further & faster, work harder than your direct opponent.
4-4-2 / 3-5-2 / 3-4-3 / 2-3-2-3 – just win the games anyway possible 1-0 !
Ten points in March and we will go on to stay up!
BELIEVE!
Play Club owned players only.

An admirable sentiment if enough of those players had any interest in which division we play next season. I think most are OOC in the summer and I doubt we could field 11 fit players without loanees.
March 6, 2022 at 12:52 pm #233121Hill certainly needs to get Marches manager of the month for us to have a chance, but and it’s a big but where are the goals gonna come from, we couldn’t even score a goal at Crawley and they hadn’t kept a clean sheet at home for over 6 months till yesterday, get the first 2 in Renée and that’ll change my mind and I’ll go to Salford, just can’t see it happening.

Wake up Renee, yur dream is about a 50,000 to 1 shot, and with a team that cannot ever score a bloody goal, just get your head down and sleep at night friend.
the present league table:-
STEVENAGE PLAYED 35 POINTS 34
BARROW 34 33
OLDHAM 33 31
SCUNNY 35 34forcasts for remaining games:-
H COLCHESTER 1-1
H BARROW 2-1
A SALFORD 2-0
H HARROGATE 0-2
A FOREST G 4-0
H MANSFIELD 1-3
A LEYTON 2-1
H STEVENAGE 2-0
A BRADFORD 3-1
H HARTLEPOOL 0-0
A BRISTOL R 1-0 Giving us a total of 8 points.Even if we scored 8 more points and teans near us lost ALL OF THEIR MATCHES, we would still go down, so what kind of results do you forcast for these remaining matches Renee ????????.
Just take a few sleeping pills mate if you ar having such nightmares!!
March 6, 2022 at 12:59 pm #233123[/quote] Scunny should have been 24 points, sorry for that, I must also have been dreaming!!
March 6, 2022 at 5:49 pm #233141I can’t understand anyone been optimistic, there is absolutely no way we will avoid the drop, we will be lucky to even score another goal, so I think it’s time for everyone to finally accept our fate and not prolong the agony any longer. The pain will start again soon enough in August (or is it Sept in the NL) when I expect another dismal season on a bargin basement budget.

March 11, 2022 at 3:00 pm #233314In 2017 Newport County were 11 points adrift after 34 games. They survived. Let’s channel the Welsh Wizards…
March 11, 2022 at 3:44 pm #233316We were always destined for relegation this season. At the end of last season we avoided relegation by the skin of our teeth, and there was nothing done to better the team for the next season. Even if we do the unlikely and stay-up (which we won’t), we would be in the same battle next season, and the season after, ad infinitum.
