Well this game gives us a great chance of making the League Table look a lot more interesting from our point of view.
I have a feeling that we can and will win this match 3-0, Carlisle are a very poor team, probably as bad as Oldham are, and Keith Hill has certainly injected some belief into a team that looked as though they had given up hope of survival in League 2. Whilst before he took charge, the players were completely knackered after 30 minutes play, where presently they seem to get stronger, and can certainly compete throughout matches for the full 90 mins.
So lets start 2022 with three points lads, and get out of the relegation area of the League, I feel that another good win, and two or three new players will get many of us missing fans back, simply because we have been starved of entertainment for so long.
Good luck to all fans and SUFC.

December 31, 2021 at 2:11 pm #220226They gave us a 2 goal start last time, do you think we can hope for that again?
December 31, 2021 at 2:27 pm #220227Listening to Keith saying he could not repeat what he said at half time at Oldham, can we assume it was not complimentary ?
Therefore will the players look at starting the way Keith wants and remove the risk of further admonishment ? I think they will because the performances have been improving and people say they are looking more as a team and for greater periods of time.
December 31, 2021 at 2:42 pm #220228Huge game tomorrow. After Carlisle we have 4 of the top 8 to play. Need to get some points on board now as draws at
Home against struggling teams aren’t enough.Carlisle really struggled with Jarvis at their place- would be tempted to stick him up front with Loft with Bunn sitting in behind.

December 31, 2021 at 4:01 pm #220231They didn’t struggle to find two goals in the last ten minutes.
Hopefully we’ve ironed that out (pun intended)!

December 31, 2021 at 4:53 pm #220233We do seem to have stopped conceding so often in the final ten minutes, for whatever reason.
A positive comment from Alcazar to end 2021.

December 31, 2021 at 6:52 pm #220240Only a huge game psychologically, the same 3 points on offer as for all games, doesn’t matter about anyone else only what we do in the remaining 24 games, yes 24 games more than half a season. Don’t panic Mr Mainwaring.

January 1, 2022 at 2:52 am #220256Massive massive game today a real 6 pointer .. praying for a win.
I take it the fixture is not in doubt re covid ?? or weather ??
UP THE IRON
January 1, 2022 at 7:45 am #220258Six pointer?
Ah…. I wondered when somebody would notice that.January 1, 2022 at 10:07 am #2202606 pointer a cliche to loosely used, usually for end of season games not for games with more than half the season remaining, the way your going on, every game is a 6 pointer, just go and enjoy the game if your going it’s hardly likely to define our season.
January 1, 2022 at 11:10 am #220261Maybe not a true six pointer, but another win would lift confidence further both on and off the pitch and be a great springboard for the rest of the season and hopefully mid table security.

January 1, 2022 at 11:37 am #220267I do hope so Vader, going to my first home game of the season, I think they are worthy of my money for a change, win lose or draw I just hope they put a shift in.
January 1, 2022 at 11:51 am #220271A home win today and a successive win after Oldham would be a massive morale and confidence boost to the team, plus would really show Hill’s work is starting to pay off before new additions to the squad have arrived. Morale 6 pointer maybe. UP THE IRON.

January 1, 2022 at 2:26 pm #220278No Manny at the back which is a bit of a worry.
Jarvis and Beestin absent too. Covid? Jarvo going out on loan?
January 1, 2022 at 2:45 pm #220279When were our last back to back wins?
February last year
January 1, 2022 at 3:49 pm #220280Not going well at the moment…0-1 down, 40 minutes, despite nearly 70% possession.
Toothless? Us?
January 1, 2022 at 3:52 pm #220281Rod McDonald…old McDonald would have marked him better than we did. You’d have thought when he got the crossbar we’d have learned a lesson. Let’s hope 2nd half we get after them. UTI!!

January 1, 2022 at 4:53 pm #220284Just in case anyone was thinking we don’t need 4 or 5 new players.

Like the grim reaper, what a joyful soul you are.
Yep…but I do say it as I see it.

January 1, 2022 at 5:18 pm #220293Of course not, silly boy.😄
But if you look at my post. I’ve simply quoted BBC stats, so actually watching it, god forbid, was unnecessary.
Don’t tell me you still put money into the fat man’s pocket?
January 1, 2022 at 5:20 pm #220294I was seriously upset to see the teamsheet.
Davis had not had a game in anger for 6 weeks or so. How unmatch fit are you gonna be? His showing was a 5/10 when Manny usually gives us a 7.
I’m convinced it cost us the draw.
Three CBs just ain’t enough to run a squad. Two incoming quickly and the chairperson was being very tongue in cheek about a forward.
O’ Neill gone to Darlo.
Whatever happened to that Tom Eaves rumour, BTW?Three bids for Loft. Hmm. If we do get £50k – that could go to boost three incomers’ wages for half a season if …
U23 Championship striker, apparently.
January 1, 2022 at 5:23 pm #220296Well it was a six-pointer after all.
For me in the predictions league!
