Whitehall, would he have got that penalty if he’d not spent the game throwing himself about?

March 2, 2024 at 5:44 pm #281937Was his last goal on Boxing Day?
March 2, 2024 at 6:33 pm #281946Thought he actually worked harder and put himself about more than in his previous half dozen games, him and Elliot worked pretty well up top when JD changed it late on, we could have won that game with ten men, Beestins shot against the bar deserved better. A very entertaining afternoon’s football, I thought the guys did well overall and showed plenty of fight and spirit to get a draw

March 2, 2024 at 6:45 pm #281947Elliot played really well when he came on and on the wing as well, another game and their 2 real efforts on goal and 2 we concede, defending abysmal just let him walk through for their first where the f was Fitz expecting him to scoop the ball up but was nowhere. Like you say Ironawe very entertaining in the end.
March 2, 2024 at 7:58 pm #281949Thought it was Whitehall’s best game in a while- put himself about abit and actually went to hold the ball up.
March 2, 2024 at 8:36 pm #281952Referees have definitely cottoned on because Dean said he spoke to the ref post match about the penalty not given and the ref replied with “that’s his game going down”.
March 2, 2024 at 8:48 pm #281953Why didn’t he book him for simulation then? Two choices – a penalty or a booking and he gave neither.
March 2, 2024 at 8:58 pm #281954No idea, but obviously the refs talk amongst themselves and word must get around about his antics because it’s not the first time we’ve been denied a stonewall penalty.
Ok diving around game in game out, only problem is when he does get clipped now the refs aren’t bothering and just playing on.
March 2, 2024 at 9:54 pm #281956The difference perhaps demonstrated by their second goal. Their player was clean through inside the box and only had one thing in mind despite being fouled by Pugh. That was to score and he did.
When Whitehall found himself in a very similar position he also had only one thing on his mind and the referee didn’t agree.
March 2, 2024 at 10:00 pm #281957Stonewall penalty MK, but that’s what you expect when word get’s around that you’re throwing yourself to the ground game in game out. Only problem is that the reputation will stay with him at this level. If we don’t manage promotion we may as well move him on because it will continue to keep costing us points.
March 3, 2024 at 12:16 am #281958Paul Mullin seems to get away with it!

Well, Whitehall isn’t !
March 3, 2024 at 12:16 pm #281973Not going to start a new thread on this point but the idiots who ran on the pitch after our late equaliser and in particular the prat who got literally in their goalkeepers face, do we think we may get a sanction over that? Not nice to see IMO the players are just doing their jobs and don’t deserve such close up abuse from the usual morons.
March 3, 2024 at 1:01 pm #281979Yeah, but he’ll have impressed his mates won’t he? Bigger crowds generally mean more w*****s.
March 3, 2024 at 1:06 pm #281980You are correct there cass but it’s the possible sanction for the club that bothers me. Hopefully they are on the case and will have the culprits identified and banned before the authorities get too hot under the collar.
March 3, 2024 at 1:10 pm #281981So long as they don’t get in the players faces, If we had scored the winner like we should have hundreds would have been on its football, I get your sentiment Ironawe though its happen I regular now with the goalie we can blame Whitehall for that he gets the lads going, their goalie did give it large to the DRE after their second goal but then again its football its passionate.
March 3, 2024 at 1:18 pm #281982Thought Jerry did well far better than the stewards did, sure the lad will get a ban was said he was crying outside where they held him.
March 3, 2024 at 2:09 pm #281983I assume the referees report will contain details of those absolute cretins who charged onto the pitch plus the dickhead from Chester who was fighting on the pitch with the stewards.
The stoppage time for the flares being thrown by the Chester fans.
I wouldn’t be surprised at a club fine.
Hopefully the cretins faces will be on camera and identified.
Football banning orders for the lot of them!March 3, 2024 at 2:54 pm #281984Absolutely agree about the idiot from Chester, non of this stuff is acceptable and both clubs should crack down on the perpetrators and hopefully the authorities will show both clubs leniency.
March 3, 2024 at 6:29 pm #281987Torps opinion was that it killed the Iron momentum so cretinous in more ways than one by the sounds of it.
March 4, 2024 at 9:45 am #282007The only positive I took out of the whole thing was the general crowd reaction that prat who got escorted round the ground after getting in the keepers face. He was giving it the old fist pump to the crowd as he came round the corner, I assume expecting to be celebrated as some kind of hero. He got absolutely hammered by everyone in sight, even the mums in the family stand were letting their feelings known. By the end he looked like he just wanted the ground to swallow him up, it was a beautiful sight.
March 4, 2024 at 11:56 am #282009Yes after the equalizer we never looked like scoring again, apart from the one that hit the bar and the penalty we should have had, Torps was talking utter shite.

Well at least you’ve found someone you can relate to.
